2400 members on the site and I couldn't count more than 40 at the poo bar on saturday night. Where was everyone?
-
Spectating at Tretre Rouge, resting after too much 'poo at lunch time.
-
ashamed to say, close to being comatose after just wayyyyy to much beer on saturday ....
-
Having enjoyed the DfH hospitality at Anita's party and their party, taking my lads along with James and Jordan out to Indianapolis /Arnage as evening fell....sorry :-[

I was there, but only for a short while, then went up to Tetre rouge to see some dusk racing 8)
-
i did attend the valet parking demo
-
Have to say I was at tet rouge aussi.......sorry :(
-
As some know we were there
Jon
-
I'm sorry I didn't attend but got slaughtered at DfH! and spent the time recovering, trying to eat and of course 'the hair of the dog'.
It may be possible to amend my consumption of the liquid(s) that kill evil Livers next year.

Sorry, we also were down at Arnage!!
Did I miss the cork battle or was last years a one off?
-
There was a start of a cork fight but it ended early after bloodshed. One of the TWATS had their head split open by a plastic table :(
-
a few seconds of sillyness, but many more of enjoyment!
-
I was there for about an hour or so
-
I was there for a couple of hours. The battle of the poo bar was madness. I dunno who the guys were with the punto convertible, but if people want to give the ACO reasons to take the fun out the event then so be it.
-
yes, they really where dangerous... took the fun out of it for me already at the beginning of the meeting...
-
I was there for most of the evening and it was great to put more names to faces. Though not always the correct name to the correct face.
-
I was there, but just missed the corking. then went up to TR with DFH.
when did the photo happen?
-
I was there...
Wandering around asking everyone "Do you know JP Chenet" and getting some strange looks before finding the man himself to collect my very stylish CA polo shirt..
Thanks JP

We were there (Brad and I) along with Robbo and the SPS crew. Nearly kept walking though, we arrived to see some sort of pitch battle going on with the Twats (traditional throwing of plastic chairs and charging behind tables by mindless idiots) and upsetting quite a few locals, well done who ever it was, lucky the CRS didnt pitch up and implicate all of us.
Apart from that it was great to see lots of old faces and new ones.
-
Like you, Ian, I nearly backed out when the Twats stuff was going on but was glad I stayed, and caught up with everybody. Luckily the security guards who turned up seemed to realise that the rest of us were pretty civilised and got bored eventually and went away. I just hope they don't stop us meeting next year because of the few idiots.
Mr T is still going through the pics and I'll post some soon. Pity there weren't so many of us there this year.
-
I was at Arnage and having read most of this thread, I think I will be there at 9pm next year too. Sorry to hear about the problems.
-
We were there! Fingers crossed it's more fun next year although I still had a great time chatting to everyone (not that I talk a lot!)
Shame to hear about the trouble that went on and you could definitely tell by the change in the atmosphere from last year... I still don't really know the circumstances of what happened on Saturday night (although a few people did tell me ???) but all I know is that there are a few choice groups of people who i hope never to camp next to/meet at the poo bar as they're out for trouble I'm sure. Hopefully the weather will have put those sorts off!
-
We were still at Arnage. I tried to make it but the beer stopped me.
-
Sorry didn't make it too. After cooking for and watering the barrel 'o' monkeys all day I jumped at the chance to go out for a blast in Newcastle Daves fantastic Lotus Elan for an hour then went up to the Barazi hospitality for a few hours.
Promise to go next year.
-
hmmm, i was there, defo remember meeting up with smokie and steve but then seemed to get chating to some random bloke and from that point............................................there was some drink, might have rained at some point, yeah, urm............

Look mum...
I can see my head just to the right of Black Granny.... ;D ;D
-
Got there a bit late so missed the 'FUN' of cork fighting and stupidity of table head butting and other silliness. Nice to meet a few others to put a face to a name (Termie etc...) but when was the photo? I must have slipped into the Welcome centre for yet another beer when that happened....I was there though, honest.
-
We were there but missed the photo
-
Great pic from Mr. Termite, Martijn and Sandy look ever so happy there ;D
But... where the ufck was Grand Fromage the whole weekend? ???
I mean, he could have at least said hello... :-\
-
Yup, I'm there, front and centre ;D
-
I went past about 19.30 and it looked a bomb site and thought it can only get worse, corks being chucked at passers by who were clearly not part of the 'fun'.
Not saying that the CA crew would have been part of it, but to be honest I thought there was a hint of a genuine race so was eager to get back to the track and watch / listen.
-
Yep, as I understood it even got worse later on with chairs thrown 'n stuff.
Maybe an idea to relocate next next year? :-\
-
I was there too!! Bit late on parade tho as didnt arrive till around 10.45. Can be seen in the photo next to Perdu - drinking Perrier!!!!!

The good thing with the photo is that you can look at it and say "Oh yes... that was Fran I was talking to"...
That's the problem with strolling back to the campsite at 4am and emptying the two bottles of Amarula in your tent, recollections of who you met get fuzzy :) :)
-
Steve, I still got your flag, guess we forgot all about that :-\
Can I send it to you? PM me your details...

Yes but the bowler doesn't show up against the dark sky!
-
I'm there - white baseball cap just to the left of King Werner!
-
I'm there ordering two beers.
Didn't get there till ten as we had to deal with a destroyed gazebo, our thanks to whoever sorted out the bits, and put the salvagable bits in our tent (D f H?).
On the point that some people seemed a bit disappointed by this years meet. The poo bar meet has always been a put faces to names event, some years it goes beyond that and developes into a huge party, 2006 or 2004 for instance, this doesn't happen every year. So carry on turning up, if only to meet CA's who are on other campsites and you have not met in person before, then really enjoy the year's when it get's messy. ;D
