What do you really hate? Go on get it off your chest. Me- well apart from Christmas and Ant and Dec, it has to be Citroen Xsara Picasso's, I worked it out that I will spend 637 days of my life stuck behind one- thats almost 2 years off my life span or the equivalent of smoking 138 Woodbines a day! They make me sick to my very core.
Who's next?
-
For me it's Father Time. I always argue with him. Always late, always run out, never enough >:(
-
Currently its a Green Ford KA. Everyday this week its been parked in my allocated office carpark space. Granted its rare that i drive in, but if i had driven in today i would have had no where to park and I pay for that space as part of my rent. They are a bar steward.
I am in Londan all day tomorrow so will drive in here early to park the Golden Arrow there for the day, and i bet the bugger will be there first.
I have no idea who it is and there is no way i can double park them to block them in as it would block everyone. AARRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

PFI. That'll bankrupt this country way before global warming kills it.
Oh, and having to fly to Aberdeen every week. But - I am just about to book my flights virtually for free (tax only) for Florida in March using the BMI airmiles, and 6 nights in a decent hotel ($400 pn) in Key West on the hotel points I've scored. Maybe it's not so bad after all...

Back to the thread.
Dont really hate anything at present - Just moved down to Highcliffe from the Ham, got a nice house in a nice area, a mile from the Sea and the New Forest, 5 miles from the metropolis of Bournemouth if I want to get back into traffic jams, Should start a new Job next week after 2 years of searching for the right one after redundancy, etc, etc.
I guess I'm with Martini - I hate Bloody Whingers, get on with it, if it aint right then change it or move on!
-
Ian, I hope the fact that you've moved doesn't mean that you won't be able to make the planning meetings in the Ham.

At the moment I hate it that my girlfriend is ill again. Last monday she was diagnosed with Leukemia (again).

People who get stuck behind my Citroen Xsara Picasso ;D

The smoking ban.
Mr BLiars ongoing legacy. One of anyway!
My local pub is ruined for atmosphere, and I would say this even if I did not smoke! Why can't we have the choice of killing ourselves slowly if we need to? Instead of those little no smoking signs everywhere, why cant we have smoking only pubs with even bigger signs outside saying "PEOPLE ARE SMOKING HERE! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK."
Are the French required to succumb to this madness - surely there will be strikes all across France if thy try it there.
-
I believe a ban is already in place in France. From reports I have read people are ignoring it and it is not being enforced

Should be OK, Brad and Caroline have bought a place in Woodley (about 4 mile up the road) sort of turns the tables a bit - I could stagger back and puke on his floor for a change 8)

LT, Marius dont worry about spoiling a good breeze in a thread my friend. Im sure we would all rather be able to wish both your GF and yourself well and any time is good enough, for a good friend.
God bless both of you and goodluck

Why do tv and radio presenters read the temperature in Farenheit rather than Celsius now that the weather is a bit warmer?

Piriton etc won't stop the godforsaken skeeters biting - you need to either cover yourself in a bug-spray that contains Deet, distract them with CO2 - the little bastards are attracted to the carbon dioxide in your breath, so a CO2 emitter trap will divert them, or eat lots of Marmite. Apparently the vitamin B in yummy marmite really puts them off your blood.
I have to say that Marmite truly is utterly delish on buttered, toasted English muffins - and so has no place in this thread. Unfairly, even the tiny little jar is 7 frickin' bucks over here. I hate that more than anything......

The Piriton is to stop the swelling ( ;D) as I'm allergic to the blooding things. Strangely, most of the time I don't find the need to mossie deterant in my air conditioned office in the centre of Bristol! ;D Eating more marmite on toast sounds like a good idea though!
-
bloody marvellous for insect bites.
So they get attracked well? ::)
;)
-
rather than loading your body up with all those nasty chemicals, give Tea Tree Oil a go, bloody marvellous for insect bites.
Tried that, tried witch hazel still looked like Spotty Dog and wanted to chew my arm and both hands off :( Can't use anti-histamine creams as I react to those so the only option really is Piriton and very good it is too! It's the allergic reaction to the bites that is the problem rather than the bites themselves (if that makes sense!).

Try Zirtek, it has a more effective active ingredient, and it won't make you feel sleepy
-
I had a giggle yesterday. A friend was complaining that she'd been bitten by mossies in one of the local pubs. Apparently the cigarette smoke used to scare them away, but not any more
