Hi all
Thought I best introduce myself.
I am heading to Le Mans this year for my second visit. Was there in 06 travelling with friends who had their car in France for the Grand Prix centenary. It was on dispaly in the museum, and up in the village over the race, if anyone remembers seeing the 1906 Darracq grand prix car on display there. We were guest of the ACO then, so this will be my forst introduction to "real life" at Le Mans.
I am doing a bit of a road trip through Europe for my 40th, but we are leaving women in Paris while we boys have our weekend at worship.
Would love to be there in a decent car, but stuck with a minivan instead.
Current toys are 1915 Peugeot (partly restored), 1930 Durant coupe (restored) 1930 Durant sedan (part restored) 1970 Peugeot 404 ute and 1971 Peugeot 404 sedan (soon to be turned in to a race car) and usually drive a Peugeot 405MI16. I did several years racing a 1955 Peugeot 203, but that had to go to finance the 1915 car...
Are the any other Kiwis out there?
Cheers
Tony

THere are other Kiwis (Or those of Kiwi origin) out there.
But it's early on a Sunday morning, and they've probably got sore heads :D
Welcome to CA, you'll find everything you want to know (and quite a few things you didn't) here.

There are indeed!
I think you will find that there are more then just Kiwi's with sore heads this morning.
Welcome Tony, I am sure you will enjoy the real Le Mans.

Nick - how did you know? :o ;)
Tony - great to have another Kiwi here to finally keep me company. 8)
Where do you call home? Wellington for me although I've lived in the UK (mostly) for the past 20 years.
If you see a kiwi flag flying at LM that'll be me. Drop by and say Hi. There'll be beer in the fridge.

I'm saving them for when you guys are back at LM because they just wouldn't be the same without you.
As for Sebring I already have an agreement with Mi Carr......
He brings the lemons. I bring the vodka. ;D
