Our glorious leader received our confirmation letter today.... BSJ >:( WTF!!!
After some hurried research and bartering, Rusty has sourced enough HA tickets to house us and Team Melans!
A scout will be sent down early to procure a suitable spot ready for when the Carnival of Sins commences!
Best get your eyeballs, eardrums and taste buds in training folks... its gonna be serious! ;D
Pig Pen (The now oh so happy one)
-
Oh no - its gonna be messy! ;D he he
-
More than messy darling.... Its gonna be a world changing event!!
We have plans.... naughty, naughty plans ;)!!
Bring it on!!
Strange how on my 20th LM anniversary I am almost back to where we first ever camped. Good reason to make it a big one!
-
Glad to see you guys are happy now! :D
But that's very far away though, as long as you don't forget our little Friday party :-[
and Tuesday as well, actually
-
There goes the neighbourhood ::)
(as long as you don't pinch my bit of HA ;D )

Pushbikes at the ready.... We will be there dude!!
At least our expeditions to MB will give those on HA a bit peace and quiet ;D
;Do you think they are ready for The Brethren and Melans?????
We must discuss Tuesday night too... are you over here anytime soon?

(as long as you don't pinch my bit of HA ;D )
Let us know where you are normally and we will make sure you are out of range of us...... He He ;D
-
Funny how life turns out. Heres everyone worrying last year about HA not being there and the panic turns to MB and KN. I always had a good time on HA and still think its the best positioned site. Hope the middle bit dosn't still stink of sh*t from where I woke up amidst a 'dirty protest' a few years ago after a heavy session and a vodka bottle nightcap. BN for me this year.

good that more people are seeing the sense of camping on gods own turf. Just off the phone with his Lordship, plans to visit the Stella Leffe Bar, show him where the burning gazebo offerings are made on Monday mornings and where the poacher traps can be laid. At least we can be assured of a good night sleep. 8)
Burning rubbish & unwanted items, Drinking and setting booby traps for unwary pikeys.... Not something I approve of!!
Never got slapped wrists on KN for our rubbish disposal methods or use of unwanted gas cylinders.
We dont seem to have mentioned fireworks either..... ;)
-
as long as you observe the sound curfew each day, you'll fit right in ;D what manner of 'funny' will you use to entertain us ???
There is already a Pirate Ship, Ute from Judge Dredd, D Type go kart, motorised couch. 8)
The sound curfew operates between last man standing and first man standing.... the rest cannot be disclosed for health and safety reasons! 8)

Excellente! 8)

Got my doubts there ;D
We must discuss Tuesday night too... are you over here anytime soon?
Yep, will be in good ol' Boremouth end of March for some wedding of whoevah! ;)
Will call you when the time is there. March looks like a bit of a GlobeTrotting month to me. First to Sebring via Denver etc., then a short week of skiing in Switzerland, and afterwards nearly straight on to the UK.
So that's just about 4000 miles by road in three weeks :o

Busy Boy!!
We can discuss tactics over a few sherberts when you are over.
Perhaps we can arrange a bit of a catch up with some of the local CA crew if you have time, even if its just for a few drinks.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
One of carrefours cheapest coolbox full of lighter fluid, sodium chlorate, and sugar will put the wind up the pikeys.
;D

Hmm, I can can't remember a 2005 summer night in Dorset with Team JPC, Ferrari Spider and Smokie.
Good fun! (or so it seemed) ;D
Sounds like a plan, I'll look up the definite dates at home and see/ask what the plan is...

;D
A few years back on KN we managed to get a yellow flag out on track with the fallout from such a device.
We has a school teacher with us who was a master in mixing the sugar and weedkiller... when it's warm to the hand.... its ready to go!!
Not done it for a few years but you just poked the wasps nest with a big stick!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
I do like a bit of healthy competition. I will inform our firework monitor forthwith. We will not be beaten ;D
-
Who exactly is going to be on HA?
I still haven't had my allocation but it looks very likely that I may be bumped to BSJ and the only readily available tickets on the internet are for HA. Obviously I would prefer MB or Bleu but it doesn't look good :'(
-
Me, Steve and Perdu occupy the Hairy Triangle. Not too far away will be Ferrari Spyder, Robbo 28 and Chris (Alibongo) Just up the Sandy Track on an especially verdant area Martini and Nordic are usually found but I haven't heard whether they will be in attendance this year. Come and join us, we will even make you welcome ;D
-
im on HA - sure you will see me stagger past at some point
-
Could someone post a site plan showing everyones usual areas of occupation. Its been years since I last set foot on HA so I cant really remember what its like..... not that I would be able to remember anyway!!
Obviously we dont want to upset the "locals".... well, not by pinching their spot anyway! ;)!
-
I thought you were part of the souf coast massif man
Have you been hanging round the youth club again. You know you can't do that since they put you on the list ;)
Will the more violent right wing faction of Team JPC be with you again this year?
-
Could someone post a site plan showing everyones usual areas of occupation.
Never been to "Gods Playground" - camping or to visit, where the hell is it at Le Mans.
-
Think this should show the layout for this year http://www.justtickets.co.uk/images/tracks/TrLeMansCSLB.jpg
A long walk to MB from HA but with the state of the ticket allocation, I'm just glad that the Melans will be around some old friends! (not refering to age... well) ;D
Really relieved to be closer to having our trip arrangements confirmed! Cheers guys - Vicky & The Melans
-
Payment all sorted and confirmed... I will be composing a suitably venomous letter to those w**k*rs at the ACO pointing out their year in year out incompetence . They can poke their membership too, what's the point of getting discounted tickets for a f**k*ng campsite that's halfway to Paris. Those garlic munching turds really know how to f**k things up, mind you that's just the way they have always done things, I fart in their general direction, maybe that should counteract their putrid armpit BO.
This will be the Brethren's tribute to those muppets, monsieurs, start your fire engines.
-
Team Delboy will also be gracing the
dust bowl verdant pastures of HA.
Any of you regulars willing to give a guided tour to a HA novice??
Del
-
If you have cold beer the answer is yes :P
It sounds as if we will have to take more beer this year for all the newbies/MB exiles that are bound to come calling
-
Have mercy on us Bob, you might be homeless one day :)
-
A return to pastures old for us as we were on HA up until 98 when we were shunted off to Karting Nord. We used to have a lot of fun there, so I'm now very much looking forward to June.

A couple of months ago I was thinking it would be this year due to the footy stadium. How things have changed in the last few weeks.
still, no worries, the more there are off us the more fun we will have.
On a positive note, The more there are of us the more chances of space being saved for late arrivals. I am not getting there until early Thursday morning but Steve usually saves us space. I was beginning to think that this year, due to the smaller area available that he would struggle to hold on to any space. With more CAer's on site it shouldn't be so bad.
-

Myself and the other 3 norfolk dumplings will be back in HA this year, the last time being '03 alongside Team JPC, the year of aforementioned dirty protest. Not sure what you were protesting about Stu, but it certainly made an impression (mainly in the grass, with a most unusual aroma). One of our crew, on return from the traps, commented that there was someone crashed out in the field 'a little dirty'. Not sure what he meant until i nearly stumbled upon you later the same night :o
At least it kept the ants at bay ;D
-
Keep an eye out for this man.
-
Blimey.
Well, if anyone wants some Bleu camping I have an offer of 10 that's about to expire. I don't really want to Sell/Swap it too openly, as I want the dosh in time to pay the card, not when the tickets arrive.
My attendance at LM is looking distinctly unlikely this year. Mrs S has decided that June would be a good month for a holiday, and she has no-one else that would put up with her... Still, only a few weeks to the Big S now, and that's best part of two weeks for me :)
-
Keep an eye out for this man.
I think its time to bring the Firestarter out of retirement!!
Be afraid...... Very Afraid!
-
And yes, he's teaching your young children right now !! I also know that the kids love his lessons, hmmm, I wonder why ?
-
SNAP!! Just booked for Houx Annexe,
Rusty let me know how much space you need, we will be on site from Monday morning.

Have you had anything from the ACO Rick?
-
Yes,
No MB only Blue Nord. But I did get ACO Grandstand tickets even though I am not a member!
-
Just found your other post - I can't believe your going to be so far away! At this rate it's only going to be us and the Dutchies on MB
-

Appreciate that Rick, I intend arriving on the Tuesday, Pig Pen may well be there earlier. I let you know soon enough once i have had a meet with all concerned and get an idea of who and what is coming.

I've got a feeling it's going to be very quiet and lonely at MB this year. :(

I agree, we are on BN, seems miles away from all. Have not been on that site since 1999. :(
-
do we need to bother to arrange a party at all?
-
We have decided to take bikes again this year so will make our way over as often as we can.

So, even though you are using our campsite we are still not good enough for you ex MBer's ;D

Ironically, Houx Annexe was the first site I ever stayed on at Le Mans in 1998. Camped at the very top by the entrance to Houx. The next time I went I was camping on Houx, wanted Electrics for the week. Spent about 3 years there, during this time I made lots of new friends on Maison Blanche so moved over there.
I would like to set up a permenant base on a campsite but this looks more and more unlikley as HA is set to close and MB looks to be getting smaller every year.
Personally I am rather happy about being back on Houx Annexe as the traffic outside is better, closer to the Stella Bar, Closer to the better viewing spots of the track.
The biggest downside is it is such a long way from lots of other CA campers.
-

I dunno, by the sound of it there are more CA'ers on HA this year than MB.

YES

Do you think you could arrange a portable party and bring it to Houx Annexe? It's such a long way to walk ;D

Most certainly - they've seen the light ;D

Nah the ACO seem to have decided that "we're not worthy" - I only got allocated BSJ, FFS how bad do you have to have been to put your order in before the race the year before and get BSJ >:(

Piglet,
your group obviously made so much noise that it disturbed the sleep of the 'gentlemen' in the truck, and they complained to the ACO ;D ;D

We could, if you provide space and some tickets to get on to the site with the stage and bar!

I reckon we could!
We must have about 50 tickets between us.
-
I just proposed to our guys to sell off our MB tickets and buy some HA as well, not sure if they will agree with me, cause most of them would like to be trackside and the tickets we have cost a shitload, not sure if we will be able to flog them off for those prices.
-
I think MB will be saleable even with an agent's mark up. They normally sell on ebay for over £100 and as they are virtually impossible to get this year they'll be a market. Trouble is you'd have to invest again and then flog of at a later date.
-
We'll discuss first what all at DfH want. I got my doubts at first, but am not alone in making decisions.

2 Years ago they were selling for over £500 a pop!!
-
Well I have now sorted my tickets after being let down by the ACO and I will be on HA. I will be Nordic's normal spot near the usual place, by the hole in the wall. So do drop my and say hello.
-
Surely MB is the Spritual home of DHF (and of course very local to BN ;)) Take them to HA and they will be going around in circles like little lost sheep sprayed orange, you will loose them for the whole weekend ::). I do think it would be a good plan to all head to HA next year either via the ACO or not, just plan to be there, it's a bit late now though.
-
Houx Annexe is planned to be a car park for the new stadium! I am not sure when or if all of it will go but I am happy to stay there for a few years, was where I first stayed almost 12 years ago!
-

They started out in BSJ though.
-
... where I first stayed almost 12 years ago!
So, is that 11 years ago? :)
-
Still 11 years in my book... ;)
-
Thanks to Smokie for securing tickets to HA this year. I will be able to sample it's delights before it too is paved over in the name of progress.
Good idea FS ;D
Looking forward to it.

Good news Phil. I'm sure you will be made most welcome on our small corner of La Sarthe, as will all the other MB exiles. One thing though, please remember to clear up your mess before you leave. Some people get a little touchty about that :D

Is ceremonial burning of rubbish allowed? On the last day... obviously! ;D
-
On a totally different note ;)
The Brethren are planning on taking the on site cuisine to a new level this year.
I have just sourced some nice ex army cooking pots and one seems to have a lodger in it!

I'll have mine rare please!! ;D ;D ;D
-
It's gotta taste better than this !!! :-X
-
Brian liked it! ;) ;D ;) ;D
-
What the hell is it?? :o
-
That delicacy was '04 on KN, disposal of all food leftovers in one big layered mound on the BBQ that had all the remaining charcoal and firelighters in it... just to f**k the pikeys off. It cooked to hell and burned the bottom out of the BBQ, which we squashed flat after it had cooled.
That was the worst Pikey year, we had to wrestle my Haro BMX off some 12yr old pikey lad with a beard and his sister who looked much the same who had my Skyway... all good fun! They got nothing... we burned it all.. but not the bikes! ;D
-
Anyone heard of thermite? ;D :o
-
Is that the stuff the Dutch had... mix with water in a milk churn.... etc ;)
-
Oh my!. Glad we're going a day earlier this year, Sounds like HA will be busy ;D
-

Knetter has been threatning us for a few years now - he will probably bring that one day :-\

I was sure that I heard it was Knetter promoting said stuff... bring some down and lets have a go!! ;D ;D ;D

Thermite - the burning of aluminium using the oxygen from Iron Oxide = aluminium oxide, molten yes, molten iron, and many many sparks.
Good old ebay has already surrendered the ingredients.
-
I was sure that I heard it was Knetter promoting said stuff... bring some down and lets have a go!! ;D ;D ;D
Yep, Knetter was offering the a large bag of the black powder, sadly Mr Pen you were too f**ked to do anything, thats why you were sacked from the fireworks squad.
All we need is a milk churn and a large supply of plastic footballs. We should be able to fire them over to MB from HA without any problem. ;D
-
sadly Mr Pen you were too f**ked to do anything
Are you sure it was Rex? Doesn't sound like him at all.

Yeah, I know Rob. Not his usual upstanding form at all.

It's appropriate at the juncture to mention that Team Zarse will be camped up next to The Brethren/Melans/Rick/JPC? too.
As I may have mentioned previously, The Gimp is bringing something nasty this year. Very nasty indeed.
