Wow, that looks promising - Nürburgring, Spa - here we come!!!!
... and our home town team is back "Kruse Schiller Motorsport"!!!!
... But what about Racing for Thailand???
Cheers

Barbosa still with Rollcentre? Good news, I thought he'd moved on?

I have now corrected this Petra. I copied this direct from the LMS pdf, so the error wasn't mine.

Werner
With a Lola powered mazda, is that rotary or a rebranded judd or something?

I thought that was alreadxy clear Werner, RfH won't be racing in any sportscar of their own this year. Jan will get a drive at a team probably (I'm wondering why he isn't listed yet) but RfH is taking a sabbatical.

I was thinking the very same.
LMP2 looks interesting with the arrival of the Spyders and a coupe.

Jan is listed in LMP2 #27.....

LT, Racing for Thailand not Holland.

Yes, he has a drive in Grandam, the only date clash is the Monza round though so maybe he is doing both?
Shame for Rollcentre that Stu Hall has gone to Creation, but good luck to him I think he is a talent in the making for endurance racing.
So much for Shorties retirement? Apart from LM I think he only did the practice sessions las season.
But all in all a great looking entry, even though GT1 is a bit thin it should provide some great racing.
Can't wait for the season to start now....

Not confirmed, but I guess they have bought the BK Motorsports Lola/Mazda which ran in ALMS last year - no rotaray engine, found something about this car at http://media.ford.com/mazda/article_display.cfm?article_id=25224
-
...but RfH is taking a sabbatical.
Mika Häkkinen took a sabattical once...
-
Chris, Steve, you're right.
I wasn't very awake when I wrote that I guess.
Let's get some extra black coffee...
-
GT1 looks a bit slim.
I wish GT1 in the ALMS was as slim. :P
-
Great to see that Larbre have taken over the Oreca Saleens though. It would have been sad to see them go when they've been so successful:

Do we know what restrictions the Spyders will be running with? (compared to their ALMS spec)
Or can we expect to see them annoying the big LMP1 teams?

ACO says 50kg. 25kg for IMSA.
-
Compared to 2007 LMP2 class will get an extra 50 kg (now 825 kg) and will have the size of the fuel tank reduced (now 80 litres only), so no chance to compete with quick LMP1 cars

Pity, I guess I was hoping for another candidate that might be able to beat Audi.......should Pug and the others fail.

Well, this can still happen - OK, the others can probably not match their speed but it's last not least endurance racing and anything can happen. Even the seemingly invincible Audi team lost 2 out of 3 cars last year...
-
And the 2 Pugs weren't exactly 100% reliable in the LMS either...
-
Have I missed something in the off season?
No factory Corvettes or Astons.
Is the list complete, only 50 cars on it, no reserves listed. looking for another 5 entries, and 8 reserves.
Looking forward to seeing the Porsche spyders at last though, and a GT1 Lambo.
Pleased that, considering the number of entries for LMP1, ACO didn't give a third Audi a place, variety is the spice of life.
-
The Luc Alphand 'vettes are factory backed and are (as they were last year) their LMS entry for Europe. Hence the Ollies appeared a couple of times to drive them.
Since Larbre ditched the Astons, in favour of the Saleens, that's two factory-backed Astons gone.
-
And no Pilbeam :( ..... yet ;)

It's been a long day :(

85 SPYKER SQUADRON Tom Coronel (GER)
Tom Coronel is Dutch
What a surprise to find him as a Spyker driver. I thought he got factory support from Seat to do a full season of a TouringCar Championship? Oh well, as long as the dates don't clinch :-\
-
Well, if the dates do clash there's a very good look-a-like who can also race a bit ;D
-
Apart from the test days (he'll be in Brazil), he's clear. And the tba date which may or may not clash ;)
-

What tba date?
-
Isn't there a tba event after Silverstone, or has that been canned? ???
-
Shanghai. I posted this on the calendar a couple of days ago.

There's a thread somewhere too...
-
He'll be ok for that one too, then - just returning from Japan ;)

The AM Lola has turned a wheel.........from Autosport........
Charouz run new Lola B08/60
Charouz Racing ran their Lola LMP1 coupe for the first time at Prodrive's Warwickshire proving ground over the weekend.
The team shook down the Aston Martin V12-engined B08/60 that they will campaign in the Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 Hours this season, with regular driver Jan Charouz behind the wheel.
Charouz will share the car with German sportscar veteran Stefan Mucke in the LMS and at Le Mans. The B08/60 will be the second closed-roof prototype on the grid this season, alongside the Peugeot 908.
An LMP2 version of the Lola is expected to be campaigned this season by Speedy-Sebah Racing.

A tad out of date! It's been testing at Snetterton along with the GT2 V8 and RML since then.
I see that they are making the assumption that it will get an LM entry....

Sorry its old news ::).....was just passing on what I thought was interesting news. I make no claim as to its accuracy.
