In the Square... or Triangle if you are local ??? between Fatface and Carphone warehouse. Cant remember the name but they own the pub next door and use the groundfloor seating area as conference etc seating.
Jolly good fun once we got a table and superb food... reasonable too.

It's called The Sultan. Top nosh.
TL use it for their meets. Next one the following Friday 2nd.
We meet in the Broad Street Tav for a few, then go to the Sultan to round things up.

It has a big sign out the front with Frogs on it, they are the same colour as the big green signs with Le Mans on them on the roadside in France....

The answer to that would be "No" Steve, but if you're interested in real ales as an alternative they are currently serving Old Specked Hen, IPA, and Tanners Jack.

They have draft Peroni, Hoegaarden and other genuinely foreign stuff. S'funny, I thought I noticed a Leffe tap last weekend but I could be mistaken - most of the weekend was in Belgium where draft Leffe was the start for 10 (then into Duvel and even a Grimbergen).

On the other hand you could be right about a Leffe tap. If some of the bar staff I have to work with are anything to go by they're not the brightest bunch. ::)

I would suggest that you are slightly worse for beer Tom. Poule tachetée can do that to some people. ;)

Good to see everyone again last night. How's the head Tom? I was particulaly pleaed to note that the long dark winter hadn't dulled anyone's appetite for alcoholic beverages. A good training exercise for June I thought. We realy should do it more often.
