Title: Goodwood Festival Of Speed – Fastest Times
Post by: Kev_mk3 on March 31, 2008, 11:55:34 am
Does anyone know what the fastest car up the hill climb is at all as for some reason I read somewhere that one of the fastest was the old Primera touring car like what David Leslie & Antony Reid raced?

It was a Nissan, but a race 350Z I think, and Richard Lyons was driving, in 2006. (all from a slightly hazy memory).

I was nearly correct........

Lyons in 2006 (49.51 sec) and Reid in 2007 (53.78 sec), both in 350Z GT500s.

McNish in the Toyota F1 would have been as quick as Heidfeld a few years back but they didn't officially time them for safety reasons since Heidfeld time scared the bejesus out of the Health and safety people. But he was unofficially just as quick.

Didn't the 6 wheel Williams F1 hold the record for a while as well?
