Nice man from UPS delivered my tickets for Le Mans a few minutes ago, Camping Houx & ACO Grandstand.
Ferry booked, Sea France.
51 days, 22 minutes till race starts :)
-
Wow thats early! - top stuff!
-
Mine too and I have to praise the ACO - not something normally seen on this forum but I feel I must.
Due to moving house this weekend I was concerned that maybe the ACO would be starting their annual ticket posting exercise soon, and although maybe it was a bit early, I was worried about the potential that my order may be shipped to my old address.
So I rang the nice ladies at the ticket office to inform them I was in the process of moving. "No problem Mr. Barton, we are printing them now. I'll go and find your tickets personally and make sure they are shipped to you this very day" came the chirpy reply. And, 24 hours later the tickets were signed for at my existing address. No more worries.
Hopefully this is indicative of the ticketing service in general and everyone else has no problems with theirs.
Not long now..........
Pete B.

I've had an email from UPS so it looks like my tickets should be here on Monday (except we'll be out of course!)

lol @ Mike
Yeah all tickets are marked by a grid reference to the location in the campsite.
Have managed to find some maps and worked out that we are in zone C.
-
Hi Brad.
Are the tickets numbered to a particular pitch, or have the ACO just zoned BN.
Mike

All I got was a letter, asking to renew my membership! (http://forum.drinkingforholland.com/images/smiles/icon_rage.gif)

Bleu Nord tickets are number. Just check out ebay where people have scanned them in.

Mike, Have a look on Beermountain, Mr Toad has posted a pitch diagram for BN. FS
Have looked on Beermountain map and am disgusted to see that on MB, they have laid out 56 pitches measuring 15x7, this is three times the normal pitch size, all the way down the trackside where Drinking for Holland and others were last year, no wonder regulars have been evicted.
-
Good to here your tickets are on the way Piglet - drop me a PM when you post them onto me so I can keep a beady eye out for them.

Good news for you! I have shiny LM tickets in my hand - courtesy of the nice lady over the road who signed for them ;D
Now....I just need to find the note where I wrote who wanted what!!
I'm probably not going to get them in the post for the next week, work is frantic, we've got A1GP from Friday and then a few days in France Monday/Tuesday. I'll drop you a note to confirm that they are on their way.
-
Hi Brad.
Are the tickets numbered to a particular pitch, or have the ACO just zoned BN.
Mike
They have done both!
Tickets come with a range number and a place number, basically a grid reference as to where your camping. You can then look this up on the map and see which zone its located in.
For example I have the following pitchs:
Range 16 places 85/86 - Range 20 places 85/86, which is located in zone C
-
Brad, have you got 10 tickets, just trying to make sense of the layout that is on beer mountain.
Thanks

Yes thats correct, so we have a big rectangular pitch :)

Anyone who ordered from tickettravel.nl already having his/hers tickets?
Sure they need some time to distribute their tickets, but it's 10 days now since the early birds have their tickets received from ACO directly
Not that I panic, but....

I wouldn't get too concerned, it'll take a little time for agents to receive, process & send out to their customers. As a guide, Team Lang said they send theirs (ours) out in a week or so's time. I know what you mean though - after all this time and with the race tantalisingly close its reassuring to get our sticky mitts on them.... :) ;D :)
-
had a email today to say mine where being sent to me tomorrow :)

Hmm... Mine seem to be doing a world tour.
Le Mans -> Paris -> Cologne -> Castle Donnington -> Abingdon
And they are on the move again. ::)
t.

I'm hoping whoever I've ordered tickets from will be kind enough to send them to me as I have absolutely no idea who I actually bought from in the end. I'm not a great one for paperwork :-[

Looks like a new bit from the map on the back. ???

Not an easy doc to scan, but here you go - enlarged the relevant bit.

Comparing the map on the back of the ticket with Google map, they seem to have cut a road thru the middle of the site from the roundabout. The NORD bit on the right looks about half the size it used to be, while the SUD but is only marginally smaller.
The circles split red/yellow in the map above are access points (red=vehicles, yellow= pedestrians), and judging by the fact there is NOT an access point onto KN, it may be that these are circuit access points, and that Houx and HA are now INSIDE the circuit, and that GA tickets will be required.
Worryingly, my tickets also have a big black 'Z' in a white circle - is this further zoning?? But there is no pitch number.
Del

im in HA Nord ive just checked ::) im thinking by the time i get there Friday there is going to be naff all camping left :'(

I am sure if you ask nicely, someone will try to hold a little space for you - assuming you arent the only one in HA Nord! :)

Do you, or any of your mates:
1 Like loud music
2 Like football
3 Snore
4 Make other loud bodily noises

If the answer to ALL of these is no, then I might consider saving some space for you ;D ;D
Del

We are all in Nord too. As far as I'm aware, it has alway run up that far, might be wrong :-\
Much closer to the Stella bar then, hooray ;D
Rusty
-
I've received some HA tickets today - also in HA Nord. As Rusty says, much nearer to the Stella Bar. ;D
Just waiting for some more HA tickets to arrive.
-
What's all this north and south shite?
We had planned to be at the top left of the south area! I've bought my tickets from 2 different places. Does this mean I'll end up split?
f**k*ng ACO. Even when you don't buy from them they still manage to f**k it up.
-
Looks like i talked it up - our Team Lang tickets arrived this morning. Woohoo ;D
We're in HA Nord. Think we'll play it by ear on arrival and see what restrictions are in place between zones in an attempt to get somewhere close by other CAers. Safety in numbers etc ;)
So that's teeshirt yesterday, tickets today - what could tomorrow possibly bring??
-
Worryingly, my tickets also have a big black 'Z' in a white circle - is this further zoning?? But there is no pitch number.
Del,
We're Z too - maybe they're alphabetically sized pitches, so we'll end up with 3 square feet each, in the furthest corner from anywhere useful ;D
-

Del, all our Blue Nord have the same 'Z' on them it has nothing to do with pitches as there is no Z on BN.

The so-called security guys were VERY hot on this at MB last year. One group who had pitched in the wrong zone were forced to repack and move.
Anyway, everyone so far seems to be on HA Nord.
Del
-
Dont panic - I think the letter is a reference to the ticket agency - maybe Z = ACO direct - we have letters on MB tickets, but its clear they dont corrolate to spaces/areas.
Best of luck and if all else fails, talk loudly and use international sign language...
-
Looks lke HA Nord needs to be renamed HA Club Arnage.
See you all there, not long now :) :)

plus i owe you a few beers Del ;)

In which case, we live an hour and a half apart by UPS van (unless he stopped at the pub on the way for a pint and a ploughmans). Unfortunately, there was nobody chez Tubs at 14:30 yesterday. :(
Tickets left Abingdon again at 04:13 this morning............

Same here, but my tracking now says delivered, so leaving the calling note stuck to my front door saying stick the package through the letterbox worked! I hope... I'll find out this evening.

Mr UPS just delivered my tickets from the ACO.
I notice the GA ticket has only two tear-off bits now - for 'Essais' and 'Course'. They used to have a separate tear-off bit for PQ.
The GA ticket is, I hope, still good foe PQ??

I have got my MB plot numbers - has anyone got a map of the layout so I know where they are?

If they enforce pitch numbers this year it looks like I will be back in exactly the same place as last year when I could chose where I wanted to go!! Result.... ;D

Just like to know how everyones plans are coming together.
I can just picture all of you scurring about trying to get it all together.
Makes me chuckle.
Let me ask you this.
In the months prior to Sebring, anything I see that could be picked up and adapted to something to take with me for some sort of gag or something to sit on or under.Or in some way make life at Sebring better.
Does anyone over there go through this same sort of thing?
-
Yep, bought a tap adaptor the otherday to fill up the swimming pool.
-
The man from UPS arrived today.
Better than Santa on Christmas morning.
Just read the entry for the Group C race, I'll definatly have to get up earlier this year, but with a rotary Mazda in the field I doubt if any one will sleep in. :)

they probably get more

Did you order them direct from the ACO? If so and you didn't get your first choice grandstand seat(s) then you may well be on the waitlist, in which case you have to be asked to be taken off the waitlist then they will send you your tickets. This is what happened to me last year!

I wonder if they are limited by a 7m x 5m pitch size too ::)
Yes I think they are if you look carefully in the background you can just see a camel parked over the white line.

Mr UPS (cute or what?) just dropped by with my tickets. Rang 6, Places 94 and 95 on BN. Now I only need to find out what the neighbours are going to be like....
-
Got mine

Mine too. Arrived on Saturday, am in the process of distributing to the deserving few.
-
yippee , BN arrived today , left with the kind folks over the road. :) :) :)

Yes our tickets have arrived too (thanks for your help FS), HA it is this year.
The land of milk and honey (and no electricity) so we're told.
We'll be there Monday morning and have our sights set on a nice spot err area on the south side of HA-sud.
Hope you nice folks at HA donot mind the odd bon(tire)fire, loud Dutchies and explosive gazebos.

Dude, DFH is on MB, what you jappin about?? ;D

Now you do realise that you're not the only pyromaniac Dutchie in town knetter?

Well, we don't have the tickets yet, just got a letter from the booking office. We orderd at first tetre rouge tickets but were allocated at expo. But now.....tetre rouge. Just wanted to say were very happy with that. We think its the best place to be cause its so close to everything. The track, the pub, other pubs etc etc.
So when you are staying at Tetre Rouge, loom for a dutch flag and a heineken flag tied to a party yent and have a beer with us.

I like the cut of your jib.
My favoured method is a load of weedkiller and sugar, in a little pile, then a camping gaz cylinder upside down in the pile, then a match, then a retreat.
Gave lots of people on the HA roundabout in '06 a nice warm feeling ;) I wonder what it looks like when you let one off inside an abandoned tent on the Sunday night?
I also have some thermite for this year ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Our for HA have arrived, anyone got a link to the pitch plan so we can try and work out where we have landed?
-
I have my tickets. :)
The camping ticket (houx) has printed on it:
'Would you please slip this pass inside the plastic holder to be stuck onto the bottom of you windscreen on the driver's side'
However I have no plastic holder, should this have shipped with the tickets?
Also my GE ticket is a 47Euro (ACO members price). I am not an ACO member, will they want to see a membership card on the gate?
Thanks
Stuey

I don't know about the plastic holder and I wouldn't worry about it.
No. An ACO member can buy 6 tickets at the reduced cost. The ticket holders do not need to be with the member.
So the face value of the ticket is not important you just need to have a ticket. You'll be fine.

Thanks Lawnmower Man
Thought that would be the case but wanted to check, didn't want an unwelcome surprise at the gate!

Wahoo! ;D
Tickets arrived today.
Including the plastic sleeves for sticking to the base of the windshield, to hold the camping pass.

Thanks to steve, Team messy (ex) Houx annexers now have our tickets.
Many thanks Steve
