Title: Le Mans Pond

Excuse me if this has been discussed before  :-[ but do any of you know why there is a Silverstone GP track shaped pond\pool in the middle of the 24 hour circuit  ???
If you have Google earth it's inside of the Porsche curves along the Route de tours near the tennis courts.

Is it the BRDC's French retreat  ;D

You are absolutly right, think they are 4 football pitches, it looks as if it was a new development when the pic was taken, how odd.

Well it was close :o they're both played with balls & don't have an engine so I couldn't tell the difference  :-[

Sounds like there might be some investigatin' to be doneI hope it's a pond or they've been overrun with algae  :o maybe they wanted a grass effect  :D
