Aside from sorting out the van, hiring the generator, buying a marquee, bbq, tent, mattress, sleeping bag, picking up 3 fridges, finding a cheap 3 piece suite on ebay, seeing if Mark's trailer will fit in the van, rendezvousing with everyone who wants stuff taken down, giving camping tickets to Brethren advanced party, selling spare tickets, arranging pick up time for GA's on arrival, finding spending money, changing spending money into Euros and actually booking the time off work I'm there already :-\

Need to arrange getting up to brians with the fence pins and fencing!!! Got them out ready to go anyway!!!
-
Well thats it, less than 100 hours (96 to be precise) and some of the Liverpool boys crew will be popping the fizzy wine corks on the ferry port at Pompey, filled to the brim with ale from "The Swan" at Newbury and the good old "Rudmore Cellars" see you in the bar Mr Toad.
Bloody excited now 8)

1,5 more days at work, then loading a 20 ton trailer and on towards the 24 degrees country of La Sarthe!!

Brian, what time will you be at The Swan??
-
That sounds a bit like an invitation

Thinking about it.
Brian, do you mean the one just over the roundabout having come down the hill after coming past Newbury Town Centre??
I went past there about a month ago and it was being refurbished (or knocked down!) Haven't been past lately but it could cause a minor problem!
Would be happy to suggest alternatives if necessary!!

JP, black and white mock tudur building, that's the one Sh*t,that is the halfway house to us a few pints and a meal, alternatives would be apprieceated. We have met Rick Cutler, there on our way down I believe he does not live far away. :(
-
I'll go home that way tonight to find out whether it's finished. Otherwise will find a suitable alternative.
Any particular requests? Real Ales, Pub Grub, good range of Malts??
-
Thanks Mark, must have Real Ales and Pub Grub, we owe you a few cool ones or Low flyers for this.

The Swan in Newbury? Crikey, there's a coincidence! An old mate from Birmingham, who came to LM with us in 1991, lost his virginity to the landlady/bar maid (can't remember which) in The Swan many many years ago.

I'm sure JP will look after us he has looked after me and stu before!! SORT OF!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

OK, hot off the press!!
The Swan at Newtown, Newbury, re-opened on Tuesday.
Has real ales and (the lady stated on the phone) their own lagers!!??
Sunday they will be serving a Sunday Roast from 12 - 3 and then only sandwiches up until 8pm when food will stop altogether.
Don't know what time you were planning to go through but that might make it a problem.
Just to make sure we are talking about the same Swan, this is what it looked like before the refurb

There are two other Swans around Newbury.
One at East Ilsley
(http://www.diningpubs.co.uk/images/Berkshire/eastilsley_swan.jpg)
and one on the London Road nearer to Rick which I can't find a photo of.
-
Jp, thanks for that, it is the top one of your two photo's as we will not be there until around 1600hrs, we will miss the food are there any others that do food all day Sunday, not to far from here.

Brian.
