Title: Classic Tickets on the way?
Post by: geoffd on June 05, 2008, 05:20:57 pm
I've just had an email from UPS telling me that I have a package on the way from LM, I've already got my 24hrs tickets so I can only assume that they are my LM Classic tickets!  Either that or they are sending me double tickets for next weekend, fat chance of that!

Just recieved our UPS notification as well, as they must have cleared the main event tickets, are now cracking on with the Classic ones.
I'm going to get really fed up when they arrive, as it looks as though I won't be able to go. :'(

Does that mean I can or are you still officially undecided?

Oh sh*t.....if they are sending mine, I'll be at LM!  How long do UPS keep packages for?

According to their website;-

"There were three attempts made to deliver my shipment, but I was not at home. What happens to my shipment now?
Unless it was a C.O.D. delivery, UPS will hold your shipment for five business days at the nearest UPS centre. If the shipment is not collected within five business days, it will be returned to the sender and a postcard will be sent to the consignee.
C.O.D. shipments are automatically returned to the sender on the same day the final delivery attempt is made.  "

So I guess that means that they will make 3 attempts to deliver and then hold it for a further 5 business days,  so it all depends on when they first try to deliver and how long you will be away!  I'm also guessing that the three delivery attempts will be made on three consecutive workings days (Mon-Fri)

Thanks Geoff, so they might not have returned my tickets to LM by the time I get back!

UPS left my 24 Hours tickets in my porch and poked the card through the door!

Still hoping that the soon to be happy couple have a major row, and cancel the wedding..........
then make up and re-schdule to September.

And some people accuse me of being a pessimist!!! :)
Think you will be ok for the tickets Doris.

(Barry goes and opens a new bottle of armagnac to numb his depression) :'( :(

Yippie- softens the blow of not going next week. Just got to get the car fixed up.
I'm also short of a few paddock passes if anyone has any spare to sell.

Mine have just turned up and I see that the MB places are marked out.  We're in Rang AB Place 11 - how about the rest of you?  Anybody know from the 24hrs where abouts these pitches are?

AB where those next to the wall I believe.

Once the map had been turned the right way up  ;D

I'd agree with that, we were X&Y which were near to the back of the site.

No tickets for me yet but I added to my order a couple of weeks ago which probably slowed mine up...

Sorry to be thick, but by wall, I presume you mean alongside the road? Whatever, we are where we are, I guess!  (Depending on which way up the staff hold the map as you say, Piglet. ;D)

I was thinking A/B would be trackside as X/Y was at the back? (it didn't occur to me that there were walls on both sides though!).

Young girlie on bike happily took us the wrong way until Rachel ran across the site flagging her down - think she had the map the wrong way up!

Just been trying to find the pitch map but I don't seem to have saved it on this PC...

Deb I've found the map and A/B 11 isn't shown on it!  A is the first row against the track wall (assuming you have the map upside down!) and I think DfH had low number pitches.   Which I think means that it's over by the wall somewhere behind (trackside way) where DFH were?
