Title: Safe Trip - Le Mans 2008
Post by: nopanic - neil on June 08, 2008, 12:46:42 am: To all driving (http://forum.drinkingforholland.com/images/smiles/rally_drive.gif) to Le Mans, not sure when every one is going, but have a safe and fun trip.

Hope there are not to many Rozzers around in the UK and no Le Rozzers in France.

See you in Le Mans - hope its sunny and there is loads of beer/wine/rum/etc Flowing

Indeed. Today is to pack, unpack, check all gear again, repack, last chance to buy missing items, pack them too. Then 2 days at work, trying to get the next 5 days work complete >:( before logging off last thing Tuesday. Up with the larks on Wednesday, HA-Nord here we come ;D ;D ;D

If you go via Belgium take care of your wheels, needed two new ones after last years LM including a fixed windscreen.
hit a big hole and a piece of gravel hit my windscreen. No "route degradé" signs at all >:(

Post by: Snoring Rhino on June 08, 2008, 02:19:59 pm: Team SPS preps are fairly well complete, its a shame team learer Robo cant make it due to work commitments and a large number of others not able to make it, but planning has already started for next year. We will miss you guys and Girls.
So have a garage full of ours and Mr FS's gear to load into the van on Tuesday evening and then over to Pompy to pick up the rest and the crew, then its off to Newhaven in convoy for the boat to Dieppe and destination HA and hopefully a saved spot by Mr FS.
Tally Ho everyone, have a safe trip, look forward to sharing Cold Beers. 8)

I am sure this year will be the best ever, and sods law has dictated it that i will miss it after sitting thru many a boreathon over the years.

But never mind no more carping, it was my choice and I hope you lot enjoy yourselves and keep it tidy for my visit in July.

I was due to pick up our polo shirts last night, then do the last shopping bits and fininsh packing.

But I got stuuck on the M40 where they totally closed the road due to a bad crash and had to bring the air ambulance in. 1 hour and 40 minutes of sitting totally stationary followed by a crawl to the top of the M40. Then had to go further into London to the embroiderers house to collect them as he had to give up waiting for me at Hillingdon as we didn't know when I would get there.

Instead of getting home at 7:00 it was 10:45 so still loads to sort out today!

Early to bed tonight i think ::)

Just got the pasport,tickets and camera to put in the backpack and thats us ready.

Cant even have a warm up beer tonight though because of the 2am drive >:(
