I saw this crash live. It was in Dijon circuit!
The owner was not so sad...
... the fact is that Ferrari organise driving session for Enzo buyers but not for second-hand owners!
That's also the result of an amateur driver with heavy feet, cold tires, beginning of the season, cold track,...
... estimation to fix it again: 150.000 euros !!!

Nice smash pic.
On the M56, saw a new Bentley Continental GT on the back of a flat bed today, all nicely smashed up, only bit you could recognise was it ass. Which I bet is what the driver felt after he had the prang. Wish I had a camera in the car at the time.

A 17yr old with a rich daddy can have the most powerful car in the world.
There needs to be some restrictions placed by age and power. Also, with any high performace vehicle an appraisal of the driver 'at speed' such as the manufacurers' offer at circuits. But these do not relate to real day circumstances in every day life.
Perhaps it must come down to a 'super' lisense.

A while back, someone posted pictures of an accident (not this site) that had occurred in Russia(?) The Lamborghini had landed in the ditch upside down and caught fire. Because of the orientation of the doors, the occupants were trapped. :(

There is already a precedent, you can't get an unlimited motorcycle licence untill you are 21. Younger riders not only have a HP limit, but also a power to weight ratio limit.
With the continual increase in the their power/speed prehaps it is time to introduce a similar system for cars.
