Looking at dates, if you are heading over for Le Mans, and can come a few days early, you really should come across to the Shuttleworth Collection near Bedford, for their Summer Air Display on 7 June - http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mus/uk/shut/shutlwth.htm#exhibits (http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/mus/uk/shut/shutlwth.htm#exhibits) - a better atmosphere and flying display of aircraft (all the collection's aircraft are maintained in airworthy condition) from pre-WW1 to WW2 you will not find anywhere else...let me know if it's a possibility
