A milestone has finally been passed.
After 3 years 'resting' in the garage, the black beast is now off the axle stands and actually moves in and out of the garage under her own power.
The conversion from auto transmission to a 4 speed manual has been a labour of love, in between me starting and finishing a major loft conversion on our house.
Now time for an MOT and some tax.
The time when the old girl will again be hooning around the country-side - as in the photo below - is, hopefully, getting nearer.
Time for several cold Leffes, methinks.

Sweet. Im viewing the forum on my phone these days while i wait on a new laptop so i can only see certain pics. I've been a fan of cobras ever since watching that vet twat (i forget his name) build 1 from the guts of an old sierra on the discovery chanel. Will she make Le Mans this year?

Will she make Le Mans this year?
Normally yes (first LM for the cobra in 1999). However, this year, I think the plan is to go again in the Great American Land Yacht.

Ohh... my knuckles are going white at the thought!!! :o

You are going to need a 7 x 5 camping permit just to park the Land Yacht.
Bring the beast, you know it makes sense. :)

Steve, bereft of Leffe as I am, I will happily raise my well chilled Carlsberg in her honour
hip hip hoorayyy

I only know the black beast as the Trannie by Team JPC from 2005/06, which sadly got cremated in a pub parking lot :-\
-
Well done that man.
Andy
Arh har. Assume you're back. I'll give you a bell tomorrow.

I've just got back from MOTing the old girl.
She passed with flying colours and I have to say, I don't know why I didn't convert from auto to manual box years ago. The 10 mile drive through the countryside to the MOT man was an absolute blast ;D

Well done Steve, just in time for the good weather this weekend.
Take it out and enjoy. (http://www.sebringfans.com/forums/Smileys/SFBigSet/afro.gif)

Thanks Neil. I would have liked too, but due to beaurecratic BS, I won't being taxing it until 1st April.

Well done Steve, I guess the beast wont be making the trip to the Historic Touring Car race at Snetterton today then. I had to go to Norwich on business on friday and dropped in for ten minutes to watch them practicing. Had a very pleasant chat with a guy who was giving his Super clean Galaxie 500 a first run out and happened to drop in. Looked to be a good meeting.

Congratulations Steve,
I'm assuming it will be in Norfolk sometime very soon.
