Oh bollocks. What a load of crap >:( Canadian Folk? WTF??
Saturday night- French House music?? Oh well, better get out the dayglo light sticks and happy pills ::)

You could always try watching some motor racing. I believe there might be an event near by...
-
If Silverstone can afford Santana for their classic meeting, its a same that the ACO could not come up with something a bit more.

Still at the end of the day its a motor race, not a pop concert, however if your going to do it, at least try and do it right.

Just keep the ear defenders on, go back to the campsite and have a few stubbies

Looks like this could be the first time I ever go and listen to the band. ::)

Well for those that want to go I hope the arrangements are better than the time JK played. On that occasion there were limited places as thye played in the field between Houx and Karting Nord. I was mayhem. The venue was full but you could not get back to the Village because every one was trying to get to the Concert. (Though I think that was an Audi event on an ACO event..)

Wow pity I'm not there this year saw the Stranglers back in the late '70s several times in Bristol/Bath but (see below) Jet Black now 70!!!! fair play mate.
In 2008, Jean-Jacques Burnel has made comments in interviews which indicate that the band could be heading into semi-retirement after the completion of their European tour in 2009.
He said: "Our drummer Jet Black is 70 now. It blows me away, the fact that he continues to play 90-minute sets. He's been unwell a couple of times and his drum tech has stood in at a few festivals, but if he was permanently out, well, I don't know what I'd do, actually. We could still record, but this is our last big tour, I think.
"I think all things have to come to an end at some point, although we'll do one more album. I would love to think it will be the most beautiful album we've done.
Also looks like the last big tour

The stage will be in the usual place near the dunlop bridge on the outside of the track, close to tertre rouge campsite where we will be

Great news, I would have seen them in 2006 at the "Gosforth Gathering" which was supposed to have taken place in August at the Gosforth racecourse, this was organised by "Tentrock" unfortunately the company was run by thieves who ran off with my cash!
-
Twisted Wheel (support to Oasis) are also playing Saturday Night with Stranglers
-
Twisted Wheel?
I sincerely hope they are named after this place and that their music is a tribute to an amazing place from my youth.
-
Look at that lineup on 13th June.
John Lee Hooker AND John Mayall's Blues Breakers

Have a listen, does not quite Keep the Faith of my recollection of Northern Soul and all nighters?
-
I think I would prefer the French House Rock to the Stranglers... will just have to sit at my tent and wind up some Techno...
