Track is relatively easy. Coming up the hill at the end of the pit straight into what is now the Dunlop Complaex, jst before the bridge. The ACO have ruined it now tho.
Car is a right bastard. Looks soooo familiar with it's weird shaped roof. It looks a bit C2ish to me, Argo? Spice? Grak Grotty? Christ knows, but it will come back to me!
-
Yeah, used to love watching from here, especially on Sunday mornings.
Way off on the car though, not a C2. The previous year it was a serious prosepct for overall honours but was now in private hands and didn't last long in the race unfortunately.

Aaah-hahh!
Rickmeolemeister, I'm pretty sure it's a Ford C100 in 82. As for the driver, I seem to remember an Irish connection (Kennedy?).
Wasn't that a top corner though, and a great spot to dip by on the inside.
Now, in keeping with CA, I'll have to dig out some photos of old and gone bars.

Yes please to the old and gone bars idea!!! The idea is for everyone to post stuff/piccies here, not just little me!
You are getting closer too, young fella m'lad. The car is correct but not year. David Kennedy was indeed one of the drivers, but never got to drive in the race, just the chap whose name I want did.
-
The year is 83, in addition to Kennedy the drivers where Migault & the guy who now owns Lola, Birrane.
-
Well done Nordic!! Any idea which of those two got to start the race (and hence was driving in the photo)?
-
No idea, but would guess it was Migault, as he would have been the most experienced.
-
Correctamundo!! Well done!
