What an amazing weekend! Just wondered if anyone saw or would like to admit to throwing an egg at the melans mobile this morning. I wouldn't say anything if the car was mine but it was on loan and I'm now faced with having to get the bonnet resprayed... It would be good if anyone can help? Thanks, Vx

I can confidently say it wasn't me.... I doubt that helps, but have a free bump to bring the subject back to the top of the forum - sorry to hear someone left a sour taste at the end of the weekend....

I sincerely hope someone's nuts have now been lowered into the mincer and the handle turned a few times. This sort of stuff is not nice.

We had an egg land in our tent that came from the direction of where you moved to which I duly smashed on the Vecky.
I think that the culprits may have been that lot but cant say for sure as I couldnt see that far by then.

I think that the culprits may have been that lot but cant say for sure as I couldnt see that far by then.

I checked with Leigh the second I saw the message and he has assured me he only threw eggs at you! :-\

Confirmed; I saw nothing hit any car

A few people have mentioned Leigh... I'd hope it wasn't any of the JPC team, and if it was would hope they'd own up considering the way we helped out last year. Believe me when I say, it was tough enough for us to get the funds together to get to Le Mans this year let alone cover repair costs/insurance excess of £100's ::)

I promise you Vicky, if it had been any of our group you would have been the first to know, hence why I phoned Leigh as soon as I read the original post as I knew he had thrown an egg at Pig Pen's "Mansion".
I was last up that morning so didn't even get to see you go :'(

I know that the Zarses had left, the PigPens were looking like pikeys in their tent and that the egg didn't come from the DfH area... The girls and I have already said that if we have to pay for what's happened then the likelyhood is that the Melans will be disbanded for next year... I don't expect that to make a difference, but at the end of the day at least one person we know, knows who did it. I'd rather not dwell on this because it makes me mad/disappointed. I'll leave this thread for now, but it would be good to hear from someone...

Your car was parked near the ugly fire on sunday afternoon right? Some german came ask to stop it because the smoke was bothering there meal. When he turned around someone threw more on the fire, he looked a little but walked on.
There were melans, you car stood there (i think) with the melanpicture and his place must have been somewhere near JPC cause he walked that way.
No idea but maybe revenche from them? (can imagine he didn't dare to anything right away)

Definitely an egg as we left because it hit as we pulled away and washed off in the rain as we drove out of the campsite...
I wouldn't make an issue if I thought there could be another reason for it...

Which way did you drive out? Did you go up past the 1st tickets enclosure or down towards the track... and which way did the egg come from?

She drove towards the track, and the egg came (from my point of view) from somewhere on the other side of the car.

There were water balloons thrown out of Guantanamo Bay (the 1st Tickets site) on Thursday and Friday night.

I'm closing the investigation, clearly whoever threw the egg isn't going to come forward. I guess they may not use this forum so I can't be to harsh. All I would say, is if it was you or someone you know... Thanks for being a truely spineless C*** and for ruining what otherwise was an amazing weekend.

Sorry to read this Vicky! I hope the responsible person still turns up and covers the damages! Don't let this keep you away from having a good time though, far worse things can happen.
