For those who are interested and don't already know.........
Dates for the fifth running of Le Mans Classic are 9-10-11 July 2010.
Local hotels are already booking up so plan ahead if like me you are absolutely sick of waking up roasting in a tent just 40 minutes after you drunkenly staggered into it. If you havn't sampled the Classic yet, give it a go- its great weekend with some terrific cars and racing.
Cheers

Well you spend a long weekend under canvas hoping that one of your favourite CAers should cycle down from some lesser corner of LM to share a cold drink and tales of Didsbury only to be left bitter and dissapointed. Its 5 star, room service, cravats and morning papers taken in the orangery for me next year me dear.

I will deffo be round in that case!!!
I was asking after you on MB when we visited Martini, but unfortunately I got there a couple of days too early!
I am afraid the list of people I failed to scrounge a beer of this year is rather extensive...... :-[

I also came for a visit Si. You were fast asleep in the chair so I chatted to Martini instead ;D

At least we know we can rely on Martini being at his post!

All your fault Fran!
we had to donate three unopened boxes and a dustbin fulla hooch to our good friends on leaving that should certainly have been allocated to you, too
Still I have no doubt it was for a deserving cause or twenty / thirty...

Hey, Martin had ants in his pants this year- he was all over the place, Houx til the early hours of Saturday morning with Newcastle_Daves crew, shopping and lunching around Arnage on Sat morning, up around the tribunes for the first 4-5 hours of the race, back into the village by nightfall until the early hours on Sunday. To top it all he went on the crazy reverse bungee thing behind the tribunes on Sat afternoon with Jose. He had us all worn out by the end of the weekend. Never seen so much movement from him :o
As always great company too.
Si
Ps. Was also great to finally meet Canada Phil on the Friday, thanks for popping by dude ;) ;)

Ah good, I am reassured
I worried all the way home that you might forget to use the stuff
this is the first year I've got home without an odd "sample" bottle or two lurking in the recesses of the Midget's boot corners
Bugger of it all was that I had planned a trip into Eleclerk at Boulogne to pop a few bottles of a rather nice Muscadet sur lie in the car for home delivery
but due to a massive miscalculation I didn't have time
(got the distinct impression I should have missed the ferry when I staggered home without it... OOPS!)
happy days :-[
