Just had a look on Vinnies Vice website today and noticed that they have a UK tour lined up starting next week. Vinnies Vice being the blues band that have entertained everyone at the Drinking For Holland party at Le Mans in recent years.
So if anyone is in the area of any of the shows, how about going along and supporting the boys on their UK tour.
I intend to go to the show at "The Diamond, in Sutton in Ashfield (near Mansfield) on Sunday 19th July if anyone else is up for it from that area.

saw one of their shows in Delft yesterday, very nice, but different, since Vinnies is not allowed to sing/speak
they have an extra bandmember on the podium for the vocals, so Mark, there is your opportunity!
-
Why's he not allowed to sing or speak ?

and I was just thinking about going along!! .... :-X

He probably has some issues with his voice Chris. Pretty common now a days around dutch singers, our top vocalists Jan Smit and Frans Bauer also had some issues. We all hoped for those guys to keep the problems though. >:D

indeed, problems with his voice
i heard he has a doctorsappointment later this week

I saw Vinnies Vice last night in Mansfield and after some mad rushing around I

Sorry but something happened whilst typing it at work and i didn't know what i had started to type had actually gone through.
I eventually got there and found the venue. Had a nice chat with Vincent before the gig and then sat down and enjoyed their set. Sadly there was only 10 people in the venue to watch the lads play but they still turned out a blinding set. Did cracking versions of Little Wing, Purple Haze and Voodoo Child.
Vincent sang on the night but told me afterwards that they are flying in a female singer to do the other shows and the main one at the rock and blues festival this weekend.
I took plenty of pictures and will post a few once i have found time to sort them, but it may be a while as i have media duties to do this week first for a friends race team who won a major championship yesterday.
I also recorded a bit of Purple Haze on the camera and hope to post it on You Tube at some point if i can work out how to do that.
Check them out if you can and give them some support at the shows as they need as many people as possible.

10 people? that is not an awfull lot, hope the audience turnout will be rising as the tour progresses.

I noticed that all the tour dates are up North. Maybe they should try down South where there is more money.
-
no shortage of people spending in the pubs n clubs up here - but it is a curious selection of venues!

No money in Leeds Fran we spend it all on flat caps, whippets & pigeons ;)

Who are you trying to kid Neal? Yorkshiremen don't spend their money on anything! Honestly, they're worse than the Scots. ;)
