Title: Prologue Paul Ricard
Post by: lofty on March 27, 2016, 08:14:38 pm
After a drunken night in the pub thursday we left after work friday and hey presto 6 hours later 2 of us are camping in the layby opposite the circuit. Saturday morning FROST!!!!! On the circuit ready for the first cars at 9am. Wow great to be back in the presence of Le Mans cars. No messing about using all the kerbs and going for it. Brendon gives the Porsche fastest lap with Toyota close behind and Audi working on other stuff rather than being fast. In P2 the Alpines better than the rest. The Corvettes arnt playing saturday they did their stuff on friday and pack up which must really phyced out the opposition. The Ford GTs sound awsome appart from  small farting blip on every downshift which led to much farting around by us much to the French crowds amusement. They look like the long tailed mulsane specials of the past but couldnt outdo the Ferraris.

This was the first time they let the public onto the banking at end of Mistral, no fencing though. Not sure this would be acceptable in a race.Great sea view.

Hi Lofty,
I'm working on my Silverstone previews for the blog.
Would you mind if I use a few of your pictures for that ?  Couldn't make it myself to the prologue due to what happened in Brussels that week.

Just thought Kristoff the Rebellion had some unpainted panels so you were right in thinking finished livery only just completed.
