Title: Good afternoon chaps
Post by: Rusty on March 01, 2017, 06:18:06 pm
I've not been on here for a while so thought I'd drop by and say hello for 2017.

A few changes this year at The Brethren and we will be a much smaller number than in previous years, ( too much to go into here for the moment ), hopefully a more comfortable group, and I needed a rest for this year at least.

A few of us will be heading to Sebring in the next week as well which I've been meaning to do for a few years, Matt and a few of the Turn 10 crew finally twisted my arm enough for me to take the plunge and I'm very much looking forward to it.

You might also be interested to have a butchers at the shirts I've produced for the trip, they seem to have been quite popular with our Stateside friends.

All the best for now.
Rusty

I know the drink, "B-52". What, pray tell, is a "B-17"? ???

Turn 10...a pub? ???

And what, by chance, has an airplane to do with auto racing? ???

Hendricks Field? Is that a baseball park? ???

Sebring? Where's that? ???

I'm clueless...'must be enlightened... :D

Hey Russ,
Awesome looking design as always.  Its going to be even more of a bummer missing Sebring this year knowing you guys are coming over.  The Mrs started a new job, and has squat for vacation time.  I could make the trip solo, but she really loves going, and upon returning home I'd find myself sleeping in the garage next to the Kawasaki for the next the next year or so.  Have a great time over here!

Jim,
Check out Sebring, Hendricks Field, the USAAF, heavy bomber training and the B17, then you'll get it squire.
Ask the Turn 10 Boys.

Capital idea!!! :o

I would have when I was near this little town (well, it used to be...'grown some since I was first there in '75) by an airport in central Florida last week. These funny lookin' cars were zippin' around some old runways for a coupla days. ('Can't imagine why someone'd wanna do that.... ??? )

I didn't run into any of 'em so I couldn't inquire.... :P ;D

p.s. Maybe over at SebringFans.com, eh? :)

You'll have a great time Russ, the T-10 guys are hilarious company, remember to pack your drinking boots!
Sebring is a bit old & crumbly (the facilities, not Matt ;D)  but it has bucket loads of character (and characters).
Haven't had to sleep next to the Kwacker yet, however this time of year I do spend a fair amount of time sitting next to her with a beer in hand making vroom-vroom noises.
I have been exiled to the spare bedroom a time, or two though...

And best catch it whilst one can, there's a new sheriff in town. Otherwise known as ISC.  :'(

I've worn the Lancaster shirt from a few years ago to several races, and air shows, and Russ's work has always received big compliments.  Was at the Dayton Air Show a couple years ago, brutally hot & muggy day, I'm a sweaty mess, and some guy wants to buy my shirt right off my back.  He was pretty disappointed when I turned him down.

Suddenly there's an even better reason to get my backside over the pond

A Rusty Tee to celebrate a great event

Beautiful shirt Russ, I suppose that counts as 'same old...'  ;)

Same old Rusty, brilliant art on the shirt of the day everywhere

If there's any spare I know a few who'd like that in the wardrobe

Have a great time, see you next year in that dusty French place huh?

Hi Bill,

I have just three left. M, L XXL is you or anyone is interested. Just PM me and I'll make arrangements to ship them.

I'll be in that field in France again this year, I was going to give it a swerve, but decided to come down after all with David and Woolly, not sure who the passengers might be yet, but could be Trayboy and Deeksy.

Sebring was awesome, definitely doing that again in 2018.

All the best
Rusty
