Title: BBQ At La Sarthe
Post by: Yeti on May 27, 2008, 10:23:09 pm
If you're into your cooking there's two rules to remember:-

1. Gilles knows where the best butcher is - and he's fantastic - I just can't remember his name!
2. The best barbecue recipes are at http://www.barbecue-smoker-recipes.com/le-mans-24-hours.html (http://www.barbecue-smoker-recipes.com/le-mans-24-hours.html)

The Barbecue Smoker Recipe Man will be on Camping Houx with his Peugeot 504 Cabrio, stop by and you might just get a "33" export! http://www.barbecue-smoker-recipes.com/barbecue-smoker-recipe-man.html (http://www.barbecue-smoker-recipes.com/barbecue-smoker-recipe-man.html)

Enjoy this years event! ;D

I have to say I was somewhat disappointed by this. Do any of us need 'expert guidance' on how to fry an egg, grill sausages and incinerate a scrag-end of mutton? I admire the deft touch of je-ne-sais-quoi, with the addition of 'some paprika'.
Now, I am hardly a Grill-Ninja, but this is a f**k*ng joke, right?
It MUST be - he's suggesting that at Le Mans, the drink of choice is Export 33. Frankly, I'd rather drink Zarse piss.

This BBQ rather appealed to me at Sebring 2005.  Now where did I leave that old set of Pontiac headers?

Wish I had a picture but one the guys that started F-Troop at Sebring made a grill out of the front end of a 1953 Ford pickup...still had the dashboard and gauges.  Exhaust pipes coming out of the hood, it was quite a sight.
