We got a text off one my sons mates today, he's there now, he works for Aston Martin and he said it was lashing down......

Predicted to carry on raining all day and maybe ease off a bit this evening. Thus we're not going to attempt to pitch the tent until tomorrow when the forecast is much better. Looks like a good sunny weekend in prospect with maybe a few thunderstorms thrown in.

Had a text from MGMark this morning who said it's P*ssing down in BN. Don't worry as I intend to bring sunshine with me on Thursday :angel:

Facebook is full of drivers complaining about the weather too. So tonight is qualifying in the wet, I guess. Fingers crossed for minimal damage for all the teams :-\

Seconded. This is what worries me the most in these conditions as it can really affect the race. Worse this year too, I guess, as there's been no PQ. I also feel there are quite a few who have to pass the "rookie test" this year so hope they don't try too hard and write off any nice machinery. (Dempsey fell off 3 times in the dry last month on the Bugatti test day ::).)Title: Re: Weather

Rain now gone but still a few clouds about. Big suns and a few clouds about from tomorrow onwards on the weather channel. Getting cooler with thunderstorms on Monday for those driving back then.

I thought for an hour or two last night that it was deja vu all over again (although I didn't clock who was driving at the time) but by 23.15 I see they had fixed it. Pretty good going as it looked quite a mess - presumably it wasn't as hard a shunt as it looked from the pics.Title: Re: Weather

It was a belter of a smack, into the concrete, bounced into the tyres which seemed to do more damage than the concrete.

All got fixed but they only had a high downforce package left for quali, thus they didn't show up very well, but the appropriate bits should be here in time for tomorrow.
