Team DMC had a great time on our first Le Mans!

Some High Lights included:

Gate Crashing the Classic British Welcome with our 3
DeLoreans.

Meeting up with DeLorean no 4. (Dan) in Arnarge Village
on the Friday Evening. Driving down the main street
with the doors up in convoy. The crowed just went mad
cheering!

Beausejour Campsite initiation as we drove in (the guy's
in the pool with the waterpistols, you know who you are..).

Van Surfing on the Sunday night ;)

The one thing Team DMC is all agreed is will be back next
year!

Great news on the testing, the boy's and Gail will be pleased
to hear that.
I would'nt  try a speed bump with that splitter. Matt (carbon fibre guru) would get a little upset!

Team DMC kicking back on Beausejour from Friday Morning.

Team DMC thought long and hard on this one. In the end we
decided on staying in Rouen. As we had a early afternoon
ferry and wanted to avoid the autoroute's and Plod as much
as possible.
I guess the ultimate route if you have the time/money would be to go out from Plymouth to Spain and come in "under the radar" from the west. ;)

We saw one of those mini sportsbikes at a car show last year.
As the show was held in a field it was great sport watching
them do a endo when they hit a rabbit hole! and eat grass! ;D

This may make a good diversion if there is a slow bit in the
race with the safety car.

Will be going with the chest freezer as I checked the wattage
which is only 145w.
So our 900w ebay genny should run it easily.
We used it for a garden party last year and it worked
a treat.
Just remember to unplug or turn off the genny. or its
Ice pop time!

I just got a genny from ebay. With the power issue sorted
Team DMC has started talking about chilled cold ones.
One of our members has a old 3/4 size chest freezer which has been used at garden bbq's.
This is pretty good as we don't have to run power all the time.
As we have the use of the LM DSV (Boxer Van) space is not a
problem.

Help / Re:Nick DMC BEAUSEJOUR CAMPSITE
« on: April 04, 2005, 09:50:40 pm »
Hi Jay,
I thought blowing things up in microwaves was
just somthing that Cavers did! A mispent youth caving
and climbing... we found that hilti cartridges work really well
in wood burning stoves!
Cans of de-icer droped down a piece of pipe wedged in a
fire work well as mortors.
For any younger readers please don't try these.
No Mcfly's :-) and the Flux capacitor is a optional extra!

« on: March 30, 2005, 07:58:39 pm »
Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum. Its my first Le Mans.
I've wanted to go for a long time, thanks to the Beermountain
team for their great site for inspiring us to do it this year.
And for answering those questions on how to keep our
beer cold!
We are Team DMC and have just been confirmed for
Beausejour.
Does anyone know what sort of facilities  this site has?
Best Regards

Nick H
