Help / Mugello MotoGP

Good Evening,

I know this is the wrong site,  but anyone know where I might find some information about travelling to the Mugello track for the Moto GP this year.

I am staying in Florence and probably renting a car.

I am particaularly interested in

- Parking.
- Best route and how long it takes.
- Traffic jams.

I am not sure my plan of watching Valentino Rossi win in Italy,  will work :-)

Thanks

I note the Autosport guide is now in the shops.

It is the normal A5 booklet,  with details of the entries,  about 60 pages.  Cost for the mag £3.50.

Help / Re: Ticket holder and lanyard
« on: June 12, 2013, 08:43:07 pm »

T,

I am camping some way from LeMans in Brulon,  so not sure when I will get to the track.   On previous performance we may not even make it to the track and get lost. crash and watch the start in a bar.

So is there any chance you could post them?

I would be interested in a couple lanyards,  if I can get the before next Thursday.

Would you just like me to donate the money via paypal.

How do I get my details to you?

Hello Club Arnage,

Does anyone know where to get a ticket holder and lanyard from?  Are the cheap at the track?

BTW - I brought my tickets from the helpful chaps at Team Langoustine,  I would recommend them.  ;D

Thanks

Help / Re: Caravan SIte

Paul,

We have been using the below campsite as a 'jump off' point for our LeMans trips.  The site has a good cafe/ bar and there is a nice village 10 minutes walk away.  Handy for supermarkets and motorway.

They might be worth an e-mail to see if they do caravan storage.

General Discussion / Re: Modern Commer Replacement

Andy,

Does the Commer's speedo cable operate off a cam in one of the front wheel hubs,  like other roots classics?

If yes that could explain the noise.  Either that or you have an F'ed wheel bearing or binding brakes.

Good Luck.

Andy,

Put me down in the jiggling/wiggling section of car maintenance.

MG Mark is probably correct. However try getting someone else (unless you have very long arms) to rotate the opposing wheel, while you try an insert the half shaft.

If that fails go with Mark's idea and try rotating the prop shaft, maybe by putting a big screwdriver in the universal joint.  Make sure it is out of gear.  You could also try stopping the opposite wheel.

Is the half shaft dropping in the axle tube,  while you are trying to insert it?  Can you try an lift it a little.

I am surprised you can file hardened steel. Did you use an angle grinder?

Good luck.  Open a few beers,  chat with a few mates,  it will go in when relaxed.
