A Tetre Rouge Fan Zone behind the eateries etc on the old fairground site back to the fence. Could be a decent use of an otherwise unused area.

Hardly an unused area, it was the Tertre Rouge campsite!

Sorry wasn't clear from the newsletter picture that the campsite was going. Saw it when I looked at the campsite info and then in the Daily sportscar article which dispels any doubts about the demise of Tetre Rouge camping. "And finally, at the start of the lap at Tertre Rouge, a new space for more than 10,000 spectators will debut at the 2025 edition of the race. The so-called ‘Chill Zone’, will feature places to eat and drink and a big screen to watch the race. No additional ticket or upgrade is required to spend time in this area, which was previously a campground"

Just seen the announcement of "new" spectator areas, which don't appear to be particularly new and with a mixed bag in effects.

Looks like a free access (with a GA ticket) bank/mound and fan zone is appearing in Karting on the inside of the track, around where the Marshal's post/caravans are normally located extending towards the Karting pits. Could be an entertaining one.

A new covered grandstand at the tip of the Maison Blanche site at the Porsche curves end. Grandstand ticket for it necessary. Always been a great place to o to once during the race to watch from at night on the bank/mound at the end - hopefully there'll be standing space in front of the stand. Another remnant of Maison Blanche camping gone.

A Tetre Rouge Fan Zone behind the eateries etc on the old fairground site back to the fence. Could be a decent use of an otherwise unused area.

General Discussion / Re: Sunday Night Circuit/Town
« on: April 07, 2024, 10:37:39 am »
We've stayed over on the Sunday night for the last 5 or 6 years. Haven't bothered heading out from the campsite, just kept enough food back for a nice meal, a coiple of beers, clear up and pre-pack some kit, chill out. Early to bed and catch up on sleep. Leave around 9.30 Monday morning.

All much more civilised than getting away at the end of the race.

My lot plus Elanman's lot, various routes and times, arriving mainly from the Monday onwards.

On Hippodrome this year with a mix of pitches after the ticketing debacle - but on the plus side, we got tickets and we're on the same campsite.

Just logged on to the ACO website out of interest, all camping and grandstands sold out, a few day parking tickets for just Wednesday and Thursday left, so effectively just GA tickets left. Ticket agencies are warning even those registered with them that they have reduced allocations so won't be able to meet demand already evrn for those registered with them. Hope that any of us who didn't get what they needed in last week's release got something today.

Arnage!

We always visit Arnage at some point in the race because its so atmospheric. A lad local to me had a spare GA ticket from me this year always goes there, facilities basic but OK and better since they fenced off the camping area. Great place to be and there's always the shuttle buses for trips to get to MB>Tetre Rouge area

Hippodrome 30 and 40 and Mulsanne camping are showing as available again - they were apparently sold out late yesterday.

Still showing to me as sold out  ???

Might as well start early for those who've managed to book amidst this year's ACO ticketing cluster***k.....

Hippodrome for me, Elanman and our lots - fortunate to get enough for us all on the same site, albeit  as a mix of the 40sqm and 30sqm pitches

And the map doesn't show Hippodrome, which we've been allocated this year

I'm sort of working on the basis that compared to the British F1 GP weekend it remains good value. And if I keep saying that to myself...... but I do look on it that as a week in France with mates and an iconic motor race thrown in it can't be beaten. So I'll still be going while I can

Have you also noted Werner that they are now advertising Houx as WITHOUT electricity, if that is actually the case and not a typo, that's a whole lot less for a whole bunch more .....
I fear this is not a typo...
They're all being advertised as without electricity though possibly because they'd have to provide proper supplies otherwise and no longer turn a blind eye to the Christmas trees of sockets and extensions that grow and grow during the week
