A first hand report posted about an hour ago on PH:

I've just arrived at houx and first thing they asked was do you have any alcohol in the car?

I said no (bottle of laphroaig in the boot!) and asked if alcohol wasnt allowed to which they replied "only glass bottles aren't allowed"

This live from Houx: It was no alcohol at first on Monday but as of late yesterday no glass bottles only.
They check everyone at the gate and certainly new arrivals.

Just hide the bottles and show them you've bought some cans or plastic bottles.

2011 / WANTED: HOUX ticket but no pitch

Confused don't be, we have 6 Houx tickets and all the space we need but we're looking to get one more car in then planned.

So if you've more tickets than cars or just a spare one let me know

Ok guys, here we go......

As I have been slapped on the wrist here by Bas, I will let all my staff know that if any member of CLUB ARNAGE come into the bar and tell them they want the "SHAMELESS PLUG OFFER", they can buy two pints of our BULLDOG BEER and get one free!  What d'ya reckon?

That's very generous of you Phil, seems my big mouth got me a free beer for once. 

If you guys come Monday night we have a pub quiz from 20h00 and my arm could be twisted if you wanted to stay a little longer after 2am. If you decide to come Tuesday night, we have a guitar hero night and again, if you wanted to stop longer after, it might be possible, as long as there is not hundreds of you turning up!! 

I might take you up on that offer if the rain is very heavy on Monday otherwise we'll be collecting our camping gear stored in and around Le Mans and build our temporary home for the week.

Anyway thanks for the kind offer and I'll surely stop by next week.

Thanks Fran    but seriously if we collect our camping gear near Pontlieu on Monday we might venture over to scruteneering and have a beer at said establishment.

Can't blame a guy for trying and a proper pint is a good start of the Le Mans week.

There will be no encampment if we don't set it up ourselves, so unless you've a place to accomadate 4 Dutch guys we're damned. We might pull an all-nighter though if Hansy is up for it.

I might go after scrutineering on Monday - hint hint!

Will be struggling on the Monday to set up the encampment for the lazy bastards that arrive later in the week but Tuesday looks like a pub day.

LOL - I didnt mean I wanted it stopped... its good to see someone with a bit of enthusiasm for their pub!!

Same here but I'd rather have they contacted Smokey or whomever and suggest "hey can I promote my pub on your BB and in return I'll do something for your members or donate an amount in the CA-fund" than just shamelessly plug their pub.

If someone would do that I'd actually go and visit that Pub hint...hint

Hey Hansy thanks for setting us straight here re the closed and very gay friendly bars but really I've had enough of the promotion bit.

We know you've a bar, some will come and have a drink and if you are looking at promoting it why not contact the mods and strike a deal with them. Win - win you know.

I assume that all the members have just received an invitation to take part in this?

Can I ask anybody who's bothering to please point out to the ACO about the lack of accessibility for the disabled - no lifts, no adapted loos in the members' gradnstands. Thanks all.

Not to mention, of course, taking the time to slag off the so called "priority" booking system.

No probs Deb but am I completely mistaken that there is a lift in the T17/18 grandstand and that there are adapted loos but like you say not in the ACO member's grandstand?

With 14 hungry Dutch and Danes the leftovers will fit in a matchbox Deb.

Your best chance at Indonesian food would be to make it to Houx before 8 and we would gladly have you for dinner. Kpy and myself could help to get you back to the CA meeting at the Courbe bar after dinner if that's needed.
