Sorry for the error in moving the race back a month - this has been corrected now. Also looks like I've got my years mixed up - apologies.

If you need someone to sing at your party I'd be only too happy - just as well you have ear protection though! Just write a nice letter to my Boss telling him it's extremely important that I be given the week off

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your message. I'm sorry to hear the news about your Brother. In this job I hear all too many similar stories but the progress we are making is very real. More and more people are being successfully treated but unfortunately there is still a way to go before we beat it. It's 20 years since I lost my own Mother to cancer and that's a large part of why I do what I do.

That's great Doris has promised to take some photographs so that we can add a page all about the Club on our website when the races are over. I'll follow the news coverage with interest and see if I can spot you.

On behalf of everyone at the Association for International Cancer Research, I would like to say a big "thank you" to all the members of Club Arnage who contributed to the wonderful donation we received recently. As you know, AICR funds cutting edge cancer research projects all over the world including the UK, USA, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Australia and many more countries. We fund research into any type of cancer with the only deciding factor being "is this research of the highest quality"?

We are delighted that the members of Club Arnage have chosen AICR as one of your charities as it looks like we have a good geographical fit with many of you. One of my colleagues is in contact with Doris regarding the cheque handover so hopefully we can gain some national and international publicity that will benefit all of us.

Thanks once more and I hope you have a successful Le Mans next weekend. If there is any information you would like, or anything else we can do for you, please let me know via the AICR website or leave me a message here.
