Hi!

This year there will be three of us - my son Tristan (now 24 and first came when he was 11), Esmeralda, 19 and, having lived last year, is on her second Le Mans.

We’ll be travelling out of Pompey to Caen on Tuesday and back on Sunday night.

Rashly, I will be back this year with both almost grown up children, Tristan and Esmeralda.

Tristan's first Le Mans was 2011 when he was 11, but this year will be my daughter Esmeralda's first - I'm sure we all remember our first trip.

Out from Pompey on the Tuesday night, back Sunday night.

Camping on Epinettes.

Unless I get the old M5 sorted quickly, including some potentially expensive engine work, it will be a very dull drive in a Ford Mondeo.

I'm aleady looking forward to it.

No masks, fully vacced up, C19 a fading memory.

Chilled out days in the heat of the Classic.

Another very able driver leaves us before his time.

The loss to F1 was our gain.

I do love Spyker cars.  The interiors look like something out of Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.              Also, was it back in 2010 that they split the Ferraris and Porsche at Me Mans in GTE?

Hi all!  here we go again.  It looks to me as though we will be vaccinating more than a few million a month.  the pharmacy companies are saying there is no hold ups on supply.  I'm feeling positive about this year.  I heard that people are suggesting that when we come out of this we will all want to get back close and personal.  Do we anticipate that there will be Le Mans ticket supply prob!ems?

Steve,

I’m sorry you’ve called time.

The race always needs well matched competition to be at its best.  We all know that comes and goes.  I think that LMP1 is at the end of a cycle.  Manufacturer Hybrids are pricey.

The thefts get me down though.  I think it’s coming from fellow campers not people coming in.  Were you chairs inside?  There does seem to be a view that if it’s not naked down and it’s out, then it’s good to go.

There is nothing like Le Mans - the size, length, devotion, but I think that you can do too much of anything (even beer), and you have to try something different or new.

I’m going to the Classic this year.  I am very concerned that I will just yearn for LM proper, but I just might be wrong.

So Le Mans bites with 50 minutes to go.

I do get the impression that he’s rather enjoyed it.  I hope he’ll be back.

Indeed.  The GTE Pro Porsche Ford fight was epic.  I thought that Seb was pushed off the circuit.
