2020-21-22 / Ferries and tickets for sale

I have 5 or 6 ferries going out Portsmouth/Cean on Tuesday 17th 9am and coming back Monday 23 4pm for cost

I also have a good 10 plus general admittance tickets and probably 5 parking Expo

Not looking to make a profit just sell rather than waste.

This our stance too.

It’s all down to the ferry companies, if they cancel then we are buffered but we are thinking of doing something in the UK over the same dates.

24hr drinking and BBQ over the race dates.

I am absolutely fooooked.

Ive had this usual post Le Mans weariness that only a shot of Vodka can make feel better.

So, what did we all think?

Personally I thought the race was bollox but thats only part of the experience. No competition for LMP1 means its pointless.

Will I go next year, oh yes, until then, everything is just rest.

Here's our plan:

Meeting at the burger bar ontop of Portsdown hill at 7am Tuesday
9am fast cat Pompey - Cherbourg
Night one pissup is in Bernay
Night two pissup is in Saumer
Thursday we head to our gites, we have 4 in total and a party of 40
Friday, probably hooliganing it in the Harlequin in Arnage or The Rose and Crown in Le Lude
Sat and Sun, the obvious
Monday, hot tailing it back up to Cherbourg for a 5pm fast cat home
Then depression sets in.

If you see a stream of Maseratis (plus some other Astons and Fezzers) cruising through Arnage making an infernal din....give us a wave with your pint hand!

So, the hour is nearly upon us. I think its only 4 more sleeps till the off.

Spent 10hrs yesterday detailing the Maserati Stradale. Waste of time really it will be covered in frog bugs and the inside will look like there has been a bread fight of some sort.

Oh well, its all apart of the countdown.

I must say, I am really, really looking forward to it this year, need to blow off some steam!

Well its been a while but we did find a new place in Le Lude called The Rose and Crown.

Its an English pub that is run by an english couple and they do Guiness too

Ok, its probably a bit far our or most but we stay just outside Le Lude so perfect for us. Granted, now many cars going by, suppose we will just have to bring beer in the sunshine and make our own brumming noises!

Going back to an earlier thread of mine about being board of Arnage town and how quiet it’s been, we found an English pub called the Rose and Crown in the centre of Le Lude run by an English couple that we will be frequenting this year instead.

It’s also within wobbling distance of where we are staying which helps.

That is sad news and its something I often think about...a big group of guys, 10 years now and we nearly lost one last year but they caught it quick enough thank fully.
