2008 / RACE OF CHAMPIONS TICKETS FOR SALE
« on: November 28, 2008, 10:01:41 pm »
For a variety of reasons, wifey & I cannot make it to the Race Of Champions at Wembley on Sunday 14th December (two weeks on Sunday).

Gutted.

It is a great event, and we love every minute of the 4 hours of entertainment we got last year.  Seriously, it is non-stop action - I went to the loo and missed the Le Mans winning Audi, went to get a beer (yes, the bar is open), and missed the Red Bull F1 cars!

The tickets are in the best possible section, right by the Start/Finish, podium, and area where they present the drivers.

£235.95 is what we paid, and that is what we are asking for them, which is fair I think.

If you or anyone else you know wants to go watch HAMILTON vs HOY, Race Of Nations, Race Of Champions, and all the associated side shows (Red Bull X-Fighters Moto X Display are there again I think).  Drivers confirmed inc; Seb LOEB, David COULTHARD, SCHUMACHER (the non-sh*t one i.e., M), Sebastien VETTEL, Tom KRISTENSEN, Mattias EKSTROM, Jenson BUTTON, Andy PRIAULX, Yvan MULLER, Travis PESTRANA, Carl EDWARDS, and three others yet to be confirmed.  All the info is at www.raceofchampions.com

First some first served.  Form an orderly queue....!

Yours, still gutted.

Mark

In my younger days (many moons ago) working in the filling station at Stresham Services on the M5, my favourites were:

4 KEW (say it quickly)

4 KOF

911 EGO (on a 911 of course)

THE 928S (on a 928S4)

Very sad news.  RIP David.  Great racer and decent bloke.  Spent quite some time chatting to him in the Grp C support race paddock a few years back.  Came accross as genuine and a nice man.
