Out Newhaven/Dieppe on 1 June to get onto Arnage first thing on 2nd. Back at end July after a tour around Portugal.
If Arnage tickets are duff will have to retreat to BSJ.
3 from UK, 3 from South Africa flying in on Sunday 4th, 6-9 French. Could be divided on campsites due to ACO centenary special!

Due to well publicised "stuff" (by ACO) we have failed to secure any Arnage camping spaces.

Would love to find 5 or even 7 Arnage camping - happy to settle for 1 if anyone has though!

UPDATE 23 May - have all the Arnage tickets we can use, thank you

French Fuckery!
+1

It is exciting/interesting that ACO have decided to remove a whole bunch of car parking/organiser stuff from the centre circuit to possibly/probably have a whole heap of Centenary celebration space.

The fact they killed a whole heap of camping space to facilitate this is damn irritating.

The fact they have not replaced the camping space is stupendously idiotic - exactly where  do they think all the spectators they hope to welcome are going to stay?

Arriving to this campsite a week Wednesday!

Does anybody know what route we’ll need to take for access & how busy the site is likely to be by Wednesday afternoon?

Likely 50-80% full Weds afternoon. Currently virtually empty. Could struggle to get lots of adjacent pitches - how many do you need?

Yesterday Waze was routing through Le Mans and the roadworks there (from 2019!) are finished so pretty free run. My standby favourite if Le Mans is jammed is A11 direction Paris then A28 to Tours. Exit 24  via Ruaudin, Mulsanne then Virage d'Arnage

Bit of a long shot, maybe, but..........

Anyone have info. on queuing times, at either Newhaven (to get on) and Dieppe (to get off)?

I've tried asking the ferry co but their responses either refer to Dover - which is no f*@7ing use, or the standard wording on their website and to 'allow extra time'  ::)

We did Newhaven/Dieppe morning ferry in April on our way to Arnage (via Spain!). As per other comments much simpler than Dover/Calais - boarding started about 15 mins before departure and we left on time. Dieppe was a slow single lane q out but we were on the road within about 30 mins so actually not that bad. 1 Luton van was being strip searched: was loaded with old furniture and French plod wasn't convinced, standing at the back, that there wasnt a small lump of cheddar somewhere!

I have been there every year since 2008 (with 2 exceptions) and have tickets to be back this year. Has changed a lot since 2008, not least the destruction of a lot of trees and a damn road right through the middle - see attached pic!

The facilities though are a lot better - (semi-)permanent portacabin showers and toilets - don't have a count readily available but OK up till about Sat & Sun morning when the queues are not too bad. Broadly OK facilities. Reasonable mix of nationalities - possibly a dash quieter than some other sites?

Killer feature is the new viewing area around Indianapolis, complete with its own big screen. The old viewing section on Arnage corner itself has been trimmed by the new layout which does make a crush of folk trying to spot glowing brake discs but I keep pondering whether to just get an Arnage/Mulsanne entrance ticket instead of Enceinte Generale, the viewing is that good (for me)! And being able to totter back to your pitch as wanted is the cream on the ...

Has been moist today and best guess forecast seems to be slightly drier at weekend. Also pretty cool, 6 or 7 tonight.

Big sign on the gate at Arnage (effctively both campsite and viewing area) for no glass bottles. Stopped today and some contraband in boot discovered. After a bit of banter proceeded with our stash intact.

Inside the campground there is a recycling bin for gless bottles. So if it isn't s clear as mud yet you need another drink!

ps, hardly a year for beer, bring your hot toddy.
