Try Gatorland, it's really the alternative to Uncle Walt et al, done in true southern style with aligator wrestling and really non pc jokes and signs, exceptionally refreshing after the plastic of Disney.
You must have the gator ribs - tastes just like chicken.
To avoid the queues at the theme parks go on a week day while the Americans are still at work or school, we went to Universal on a Thursday and didn't queue at all.

We arrived Saturday AM at Beausejour, the nice lady in the caravan had a 2" thick wedge of camping tickets for sale - we had a long walk to catch the free bus to the entrance but we did have a full field all to ourselves and very underpopulated bogs.

Help / Re:Bus shuttle service
« on: May 28, 2003, 11:29:12 pm »
The shuttle bus on race day is brilliant - BUT the last bus to Arnage is before midnight - we parked at Arnage and took the bus around the various corners expecting to return to Arnage to sleep in the car. The helpful bus driver at the main entrance locked up his bus at midnight leaving us stranded. Oh well a stroll in the French countryside in the dark, mixing it with the enthusiastic drivers is an experience not to miss.
By the way we slept in the car at Arnage with no hasle - the cops were asleep in their bus on the other side of the car park so if you haven't got a camp ticket and are only doing the one night see you there.

Well I guess I'll try Autosport and 91.2 but will I have enough power for the radio once I've connected the beer cooling fridge, satelite internet connection, lap top, mobile disco and projection screen all of which seem essential on this trip?  Thanks for your help and continuing amusment - Mrs M wonders what I'm sniggering about.
