Help / Re: Camping space required = no car
« on: June 04, 2008, 01:11:03 am »
Hi Mark, we are in Tertre  Rouge and have 5 tickets for our 4 vehicles so should have room for you, we take an extra ticket due to the camper having an awning and taking a lot of space, when I used to fly in (cessna) I just walked into the camp sites with my gear in carrier bags (looks like I have been shopping), anyhow if you want to join us mail me on  matchlesspat@aol.com and we can sort it out, we should be there by Wednesday evening if the 1972 camper keeps running,
1972 BMW powered Bedford CF1 camper, V 12 Aston, Merc coupe, and one other yet to be bought.

 8) we had a great day on sunday, drove down, 100 miles, in my 1929 Dodge DA, we were parked in the members park and picnic area on levant bank, you can see some pictures at www.prazzi.com/revival , you can spot me at the bottom of page 8 of sundays pictures, trying to lift my wife's skirt for the camera, you can just see one of the dodge's wooden wheels,

MGA 1600 MK1 soft top, great car with similar mechanicals to MGB but a totally different car (thank god) MGB engine will bolt straight in and MGB overdrive box is an easy fit, I paid £100.00 for mine, in 1973, what about a BMW 3.0csi?

   Pat

or a Bedford CF with BMW engine?

Help / Re:TERTRE ROUGE CAMPSITE
« on: June 04, 2005, 12:52:23 am »
I think the camp sites changed ownership a year or two ago, probably explians the price rise, yes they have had new showers and toilets for the last two or three years, the track is a lot nearer to the site now, the grandstands are not in the site but lower down at track level, they do block the view from an area of the site,
We will be there from wednesday late afternoon (if the slightly used autobox holds together)

the matchless has pannier bags that attach to the frames shown in the picture, maybe they can hold the cassette player?
ps. : we suspect moped boy has discovered GIRLS!!!! could be worse he might have discovered boys! :P :-[ :-X :-* :'( :o ;D ;)

 8) shall we use channel 7 to warn of speed traps? although the BMW powered Bedford is usually under the limit owing to its all up weight of about 4 1/2 tons when loaded with 5 people, 5 bikes, three fridges etc etc
