2014 / Pompey-Caen ferry crossing wanted

I know, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Should have booked about a year ago!

Not been this route for years (been doing the Dover-Calais thing for about the last 15 years) but we fancy a change this year and do a bit of a retro thing. If anyone has a last minute cancellation thingie, we're looking to travel on Wednesday 11th and return Monday 16th if poss.

Just a couple of CA reps in attendance. Lord Steve on the left, then my good self and finally two reprobates that regularly attend LM with me as part of the FCEKers on the right. Top night of ale and curry up The Khyber in good old Epworth. Standard.

Ok this one has been bugging us for years. Assuming you've seen the fabulous "La Ronde Infernale" video of the incredible 1969 24 Hours (which I've just watched AGAIN), there is a song at the beginning and the end which is a classic piece of French music. But what is it?

Hi Phil, yes, chassis 001 is already with its new owner in South Africa awaiting delivery of the engine and bodywork 

Thanks for the link too, not really a surprise to me seeing as it was me who sent all the press releases out 

Hopeful of an entry to Le Mans next year (very fitting as my 50th birthday is during race week) but it depends on getting the car out testing and racing asap. Fingers crossed...
