16  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Ferrari Spider on: June 01, 2010, 09:40:02 am
Just thought I'd give a relatively quick update.

The good news is I'm alive and the treatment continues.  Don't want to incur Murphies law, but...

No LM, no travel and no lots of other things.  Passed one of the key milestones of surviving the initial 12 months of treatment.  Another Donor lymphocyte infusion (DLI) tomorrow, you can google it, it helps bolster the immune system and help fight off the cancer cells still left inside me.  Followed by a Vene Section and draw a unit of blood off, too much iron, so no guiness for me.

My immune system has not fully recovered and my Chimera count is below 100% which means keeping clear of ill people and there is quite a bit of the old me floating about in the bone marrow, hence the need for DLI's.

Just wish I could have a glass of beer, out walking last night along the sea front and it would have been a good way to end the evening.  Fizzy water is really good....

Going to see the Ferrari again this Friday, she still is under going renovation so might get a drive or two before the end of summer.

Have a good LM, I don't envy you one little bit, not really.

If any of you are feeling generous the cancer team that are doing a magnificent job careing for me are in the need of £2.2 million, we've just finished rasing £5.5 million, so the 2.2 shouldn't be that difficult?

and if you have a strong stomach, I'm in the video, don't worry about the tube going into my nose, it didn't stay down for long, hadn't eaten for a few weeks and needed nutrients  http://tinyurl.com/3234jm3

Well you haven't been very pro-active with providing an answer yet - usual bluster and BS.

yep, usual ball sh*t from you, nothing changed there, hows the fake car...

You want clues already!

of course not, just want to see if you know what you are talking about or is it just the usual bollocks Grin

Another teaser question - what had 2 Roll Royce 'R' engines?

land, sea or air applications?

well done, treat yourself to a cold shower if you can say you didn't peak, strangley all the other aircraft in the flight, Lanc, Dak, Hurri's and Spit's have all had to be reacquired back into the light blue.

No, miles out, I'll give you a clue, they are tail draggers...that'll narrow it down a bit

I suppose BBMF with the Lanc, Hurricane and the right Spitfire, although FS implies a singleton???

MG Mark

ha ha, BBMF is something, aint it Grin

the odd thing is the only BBMF aircraft that have been in continous RAF 'ownership' are...........and not .......fill in the gaps.  No peaking on the internet.

You're right Bill, a Merlin powered spit does sound better than Griffon power, BUT something with SIX Merlins is better still!

Good for him, and long may he continue to do so (go strong and give them hell that is)  Wink

Sadly, we'll need to change his nickname from Snow to Just Bald.

Lucky chap - hopefully as the pilot rather than the patient?

you bet, or he would have had lots of holes.  Still going strong and giving them hell, only recently caught for driving with a bit too much ale after a RAAF bash.
