I sent them an email yesterday to query why I hadnt had an invoice. Apparently it had been sent out on 26 Nov, so it must have become lost in the post. Anyway they emailed me another, so I'm a happy bunny today.  Cheesy

I'm still in the waiting, terrified of getting BSJ, queue too! Ordered around late August/early Oct so keep fingers crossed guys. I am still hoping to share hospitality with Steve in Houx Annexe.....  Roll Eyes

I ordered six camping places and suddenly friends are turning into frenzied animals to try to grab one off me...
I have five definites to get one each (includes me!) what shall I set as the competition to hive off number six?  Grin Grin

BSJ sounds like some awful disease dunnit? Wink

Got me confused...
first time from our site, into the link I had 499.3 (kbits/sec) Then from their home page when I retested I got 65806.5 Kbps.... huh?

Every retest comes in about 63,000-66,000. Have I broken it? Wil Bham city council come round looking to beat me up for damaging it, or is my old compooter on BTbroadband actually quite reasonable?

 Sad Sad Sad

Great advert, thanks for telling us about it.....

Think I might wait for the DBR9 now though. Tongue

Steve, more good advice yet again! Just did get Broadband. (mostly so I can keep up with some of the amazing links some of the guys in here put up)

I was lucky that I spotted the dialler running the drive when I wouldn't have expected it and when I checked the ins and outs on my connection icon it was something like 1,000,000 in 300,000,000 out. I thought that looked "odd" for a browsing session and set myself up for a three day trawl through the registry and other popular addresses.

AOK now but it wont let me "do2 Updater yet, might have to do an over the top reinstall, trying it next week. Tiny Personal Firewall and the BT Yahoo! firewalls seem to be coping so far, been broadband for a week now, only a quid per month over my old deal, has to be worth it.

I spent hours in the summer trying to stomp a dialler that had nicked my machine. I killed the thing eventually but it took Windows updater out with it when it went...

'pooters, sometimes I just hate 'em...

I'd be inclined to say "Bring back the silent running Bentleys and lets see how they fare after a couple of years away"

I agree that the Audi domination thing is too much, but I still pine for the perfect 7-8 every lap.....

I wonder if the Goh team could swing a deal with VAG for those?

I have spent (wasted?) the last  26 years of my life working in car recovery in one form or another. Those picures just take the banana. Absolutely rock solid story of How Not To!

Looking at the number plates (wot my tired old eyes can't make out) I'd suggest that it might have been somewhere in Ireland. Not (Maybe sadly) in Germany as the last user on that site suggested.... The fact that lots of the vehicles pictured suggest a tax break available for van type motors over those with side windows, gives this theory some likelihood.

Well spotted Nordic, made my day.

Thanks for that Steve. We are aiming for a Wednesday arrival next year, too. We will see.

The ferry situation is a b*ll-ache for next year so we may go Dover Boulogne or Newhaven Dieppe. A problem might be one of our mates coming along in a campervan. That may not get on the Speedferries vessel...

Oh yes, nice pic of your car on t'other thread.

......do they allow extras to be added before the allocation is set

Last time I increased my order, I got busted to the back of the queue - ended up being offerred BSJ.  I wouldn't risk it - try and get extras from the 'Sale' forum here.

Thanks for that DelBoy, that was the thought that had crossed my tiny mind. I thought I might have read about that happening, so I am glad I asked and that you answered. Owe you one at the 'poo bar for that cheers.

Still no update from ACO about whether the camping sites ordered will be allocated. Have tried for 6 on the Annexe again next year.

Steve are you and your guys taking guests again next time?

Should I pester the ACO girls or will that antagonise 'em?

Help...

(Next daft question, If 6 are ordered do they allow extras to be added before the allocation is set??)

Does anyone know the score on this? I have already left a message on the DVLA consultation site about this. Would it be invalidating it to sign this too? I want to add to the message not subtract.

Although Robbo is right about the 'getting old junk off the roads' thing I don't see this having an effect. If they don't sign up for tax or MOT what is going to make the scumbags join this one?

Is the next stage to be using police time to storm garages where suspected old cars are stored? "Come out Jimmy we know you've an old Ford Pilot in there!"

Absolute bollocks and a true waste of everyones time. It will cost more to run than the revenue it'll bring in...

(Err, can you tell I'm not too happy with this one?)

I watched some of the night racing from Porsche curves (one reason I missed out on the shampoo bar!*) the view is quite good, just needs to get rid of some of those pesky spectators!

Now it needs some bright entrepreneur to start a second shampoo bar just up the rise behind it, then charge an arm and two legs for a bottle of coolish blubbly. And watch the cars coming round the bend...

*dodgy knees put paid to a trip afterwards to the "shampoo" after walking back to the Annexe from the bus stop. Sad
