Tee shirts again, flags and banners so that anyone can see if there is a CA member at any camp site. Realms of fantasy here but, how about a minbus to make an easy tour of the groups. I got very "tired" with a combination of cheap beer and old mans knees and couldn't get to MB to visit the L'pool boys and Robbo etc and by the time it was time to gather at the shampoo bar it was far too far away! Or, should we all try for the same campsite next time? Bill

Truffette, was that you behind the two of us at Tertre Rouge for the start? You should have said hello. Even if it wasn't us you should still have said hello, all the Club Arnagers at Le Mans were the greatest bunch of people you could expect to meet. I met a multitude of good people. Bill

Bl**dy heck, what a great weekend. Met JPChenet and buddy in Carrefour but never had time (In 24 hrs?) to get to the poo bar. But next year I will. A massive thanks to Steve and the Cobra boys for making us welcome and giving us a great photoopportunity. We made it onto Speed Sunday too, Tiff Needell walking and talking down to our camp with me in the blow up armchair, popping Carrefour Kebabs. I saw loads of us in the Robbo shirts, true respect to you for those Robbo, they will be preserved forever along with next year's (hint hint!) The TVRS did us proud after last year as did the MegaMoggy. My green Midget managed its mandatory ton up on both sides of the channel I am led to believe so everything was superb, all of our group are talking about going again. Thanks guys!!! Bill

Nick and I were beginning to think we'd be last out, (I was getting worried, I just missed the milkman.) But no! We are off to convoy duties at 1400 today, ferry from Calais this evening/night 2200hrs (To think we thought this would be early enough after arriving at the circuit at three oclock in the rain last year!) Next year Monday or Tuesday instead, even have Mrs Bill's permission! I won't be hard to spot... Beer belly and one of Robbo's bespoke CA Tee shirts. Walk over and share a couple of beers. Bill

If the new cap and rotor arm doon't arrive, Andy's I'll bring a bottle of Tippex or we can cadge some nail varnish (nonmetallic type) off Mrs RS2babe and rebuild it to "good enough status" and get you home again. No worries! Bill (note new Temporary address, Houx Annexe, near some Cobras, midwest France)

Since we intend to be some of the "good" neighbours, we are glad to be on Houx Annexe. Nick and I walked past the Annexe to get to Tertre Rouge (our first sight of the actual track last year) and I said then how neighbourly it looked. Last year a pair of ACO stewards allowed us in to the top left end to see if we could grab a few inches for the Midget and our tent, but it was all pretty well sewn up (Saturday afternoon three o'clock, so what did we expect? We didn't know but they were quite helpful) We ended up parking and tenting on Antares, wasn't too bad, damned noisy when the cars hit Hunaudieres at full welly! Bill

"Something about a race" why does that ring loud bells? Oh gosh, don't panic Mr Mannering its next week, oh heck, golly, and err, wow. South Staffs Midget and Sprite Club presence will be established on Friday morning Houx Annexe with our friendly neighbours the Cobras from East Anglia. Stuart's travel fridge will be ON all the way down so some chilled beer should be available to staff and visitors from early doors Friday AM Bill

Paula, Nick is so sorry that you have hurt yourself (me too of course!) that he is contemplating suicide or not coming to lemons, or bringing socks... or getting slightly drunk, I won't worry common sense will out! Drunk it is! Get well soon and we'll see you both next year instead. Bill

First off the roundabout! I did that last year after crossing the "Pont de Normandie" I found myself missing the bl**dy Le Mans sign and getting absolutely "Perdu" in a small industrial estate. A quick turn around, twice round the roundybout and found the signs for Le Mans. We stayed overnight at Gace last year & drove to the track on Sat morning... Took two or three impromptu turns along the way (can't be sure we didn't go to Lisieux and Bernay... Lost in France... Bill

Well Steve, I always like to play at "wot plug lead goos where" on V8's, any chance? No, not true, I don't even want to see an engine 'til I'm back at work two weeks after the event. I understand there was real entertainment available in the fairground until last year, maybe I'll have to do the bungee armchair instead. I'll see how brave (ratted) I feel after the shampoo event, maybe. Don't think I'll bother with spanners after all, some other bugger will probably have one or two A/F ones wiv 'em! Must have space for beds chairs and tent thingies, oh, bloody hell and the beer !!! Bill
