We stayed on Épinettes. It's quite a trek in to the Tribunes heat from there especially in the brutal heat on Wednesday and Thursday. But stoppiing off at DFH & Team Le Mans Zone made it tolerable. I think the ACO have sorted out there IT issues. The ticket app worked flawlessly. Though I know some people had an issue getting in to Épinettes as they lost their network at the gate. Traffic getting to and from the supermakets was not really a problem. On a couple of occasions there was a hold up where I the car didn't have the correct ticket and so entered into a long discussion withthe guy on the gate and thus holding up all the traffic. The installation of the foot bridges helped the traffic flow I think.
If only they would re-open Bleu Nord Camping.

Last year there was no pedestrian access to Houx. Camping pass holders only.
That sounds stupid. That would suggest you can't leave on foot and get the Tram in to town. I was in Houx last year and I'm sure I when out on foot a couple of times and I came back on foot too. As you enterthere is a pedestrian gate to the left.

Seems to be the usual software release 1.0 hick-up! I have downloaded the app but can only see one ticket. 2 GEs and a Parking Arnage are missing.
Update: The Parking Arnage ticket is visible in the app now, 2 GE still missing. Seems to be some step-by-step data migration. I'll hold off downloading it for a week or so, hopefully all the bugs will have been splatted by then and it may work ..... Next update: All my tickets are visible now in the app. Next adventure: Transferring some of them to another person. Has someone already tried that? I think that the transfer of tickets went pretty smoothly. Chris24 did ask me if we needed Mobile Data for the App. So I asked the ACO and the Reply was:- The Mobile App works offline (not on flight mode though) so your tickets can be scanned as long as the QR codes are imported. They will be available a few weeks/days before the event. Please note that we provide a free wifi network on the circuit too. We also have Ticketing Customer Service desks at the East and North gates if you have any problem. T.

Staying @ Hotel de France @ La Chartre-sur-le Loir. I'd recommend a visit there if you get the opportunity. For those that aren't aware of the history, take a look online.... (I have no affiliation with them, apart from being a guest there for the last few years). Always something interesting to see 👍
I plan to pop out there on Friday if I don't see you then I'm sure we will bump in to you in T18. Tom, don't bother, its waste of time and your petrol, nothing to see or do down there > My car is Diesel so no need to worry about Petrol. :-) I've seen a few interesting cars down there and it's a pleasant drive too.

Whilst I have to agree that the ACO do seem to be over inflating the price of tickets. The lean years for them with no Spectators in 2020 and limited numbers in 2021 and no doubt the over spend on the Centenary Race they are no doubt attempting to re-coup the losses.
This year I spoke to a number of "New" groups who where really enjoying things on there first visit. So even if the die hards stop going they will be replaced by a new generation of Fans.
Having only missed 2 races in the last 45 years I too am wondering if it's time to call it a day. Prehaps the only thing stopping me giving up is the chance of some close racing with the Hypercars.

I used waze for the forst time in France because that was how the ACO directed me to the Ticket collection point. Since then I've used it as my satnav of choice.
I'm using it on an iphone linked to CarPlay. The best feature I find is that if I have an appiontment in my diary Waze automatically picks it up.

Yep, another Brexit non bonus Lots of people are pointing out the negative aspects of Brexit. I'm not sure I've seen any comments about the good things Brexit has bought us.
