I'll take them off your hands by all means. Just PM me.

I went to Portmeirion, where the series was filmed, in 2007 as a bit of a fan of the series. A very strange place and quite peculiar going round his bedroom which is now a gift shop, and having lunch in the Town Hall.

Well worth a visit, and probably why I prize my Moke above all the cars I have!

Oh Dear, Oh Dear, Oh Dear!

"Toys" and "Pram" spring to mind!

Greg, I could understand, but Leo?

Oh how they are going to regret this. I remember teams in Formula BMW in 2006 who said similar things about their association with the Mansells!

Will he still be there in May?

I've never been certain how to get photos on here so I hope you don't mind the link.

They are of my son, Tom, testing the new GT4 car in Dubai. Apparently he did so well they let him have a ride in the 009 Aston.

How jealous am I?

Typical for me too! I live just down the road, but I'll be at Donnington that weekend watching my son, Tom Dunstan, in the last two rounds of the Ginetta G50 Cup.

Post a few photos if you can. I think it will be quite a sight. Shame I'll miss it.

Well not quite, but if anyone is interested, Lola is celebrating 50 years this year and as part of their celebrations they will be parading some of their cars through the streets of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday 12th October, followed by a Q & A session in the Market Square.

I understand that Stirling Moss is amongst the drivers together with many other famous Lola drivers.

I've not added to CA for absolutely ages, but I can't let this go by.

My deepest condolences to Steve's family, all his friends especially Doris and Lawnmower Man and anyone who knew him. He was one in a million and just a gentle giant.

I remember him taking my youngest, Michael, on the big wheel at LM, because I hate the things! Afterwards, I thanked him and asked if he'd enjoyed it. He calmly looked at me and said, No!, I hate them too, but I promised Michael I'd take him on it, and a promise is a promise."

RIP - Big Fella!

Keith

One of my favourite photos by Rick - Sorry Doris! (Never added a photo so I hope this works)

I think this question requires an answer, but I might be the wrong person.

Yes, when I suddenly became a single parent, I took my boys to Le Mans. (OK My fault) That got them interested in motorsport

Yes, I bought a kart for my youngest son (My fault, again)

Yes, I got the older one (then 14) a test in a Junior Rotax in March 2005 (Again, my fault)

The fact that he was signed by a team 2 hours later, won his first race, three months later went to Valencia to test for Formula BMW, has just finished his first season in FBMW, and (hopefully) at the end of this month takes part in the World Finals TOTALLY HIS FAULT!!!!! (OK maybe I, and a couple of very good mates helped with making it happen, but its his talent at the end of the day)

Not that I would change a single second of the past few years, since the "ex" left us, but "a 14 year old being a pain" would be a nice distraction from trying to work out how were are likely to raise the £12k needed for the World Finals, or the £250k needed for next season.

Believe me, make the most of the Kevin and Perry bits, they're easy!!

Or, send them to me for a weekend, but you might live to regret it!!!!!

Thank you Martini, but reminds me that I've been meaning to ask on here if anyone knows if it is possible to make a video tape, or DVD, from something recorded on sky+. I've tried several times, but the result plays back dark then light, then dark again. Is is a special incription that prevents it being recopied?

Basically my sky+ is full of races that I don't want to loose, and I want to get them onto DVD or tape.

Help please

Cheers, Ian
Bad Luck Robin, just shows that if the Bastards want it enough there's little you can do about it, think Brads still got quite a few pics of Tom at Thruxston that he is welcome to of course.
11  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Missing from Donnington on: July 28, 2006, 03:25:13 pm
Can you all keep a look out for a Subaru WR1.

Norbert, AKA Robin, had his Subaru stolen from Donnington, yesterday. It was clocked on the motorway at 145. Police gave chase but lost them.

Before you ask, they managed to disable both the alarm and the tracker system, before setting off!!!

Robin is understandably annoyed, but is more upset about all his camera gear and the lap top with all of Tom's (www.tomdunstan.co.uk) racing photos on it, that was in the boot.

If it happens to have been dumped outside your house, please get in contact.

The Reg is quite distinctive UK04 SRT

Watched the practice/qualifying again tonight.

I know I didn't see any of the actual race last year, but boy do I miss being there!

13  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The official "I'm not going" Thread on: June 15, 2006, 09:41:51 pm
Sorry Bobblehat, I didn't make it clear, did I?

I meant that for my Tom to make it up to us for not being able to afford to go this year, he'd better try damn hard to get a drive in next years race, and to make up for it get a pit pass for all the Club Arnagers who'd like to get in the pits area. I'm guessing that he'd need about 2000.

Cue tumbleweed...... again!
14  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The official "I'm not going" Thread on: June 14, 2006, 05:19:15 pm
Pass the Valium!!! I'm not going either. Nor is Tom or Michael, my two. In short Tom has cleaned me out this year, and this will be the first Saturday night I've slept at home since Easter!! That's motor racing, I suppose!

Still, Motors TV will be on, and I've got to look on the bright side...... Tom racing at Knockhill in September!!!! Not quite the same as LeMans, eh?

So Tom? Will you be getting pit passes for me next year??

By my recconing, I'll need about 2000 for all the "Clubbers". That should go some way to making up for not going this year!!
15  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: BTCC Thruxton on: June 06, 2006, 12:05:11 am
A million thanks to the Club Arnagers that came along to Thruxton and supported Tom. He always knew that being the youngest in the Championship and with only about ten months karting experience it was never going to be easy, but when genuine motorsport enthusiasts make the effort to come along and supprt him, he seems to raise his game and give it his best for them, and its just what we, and he, needs.

Tom has asked me to personally thank the guys at Thruxton as it was them being there that made him carry on, and still push despite his "enforced" pit stop. As he put it on the way home, "Hey they are used to watching LeMans 24hr. They expected a pit stop!"

Maybe one day, it will be for fuel and tyres then off to Dunlop, Mulsanne, Arnage, and the chequered flag, and they'll be saying "Did I mention, I was there when Tom did his first ever pit stop?" It would be a bit different from "Did I mention I was at Sebring?"

Sorry Rick, and JP!!

Seriously, many, many thanks. I hope a few clubbers can make it to Croft now. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeese. We would love to see you all there

Dad
