Arriving in time for tea on the 15th via Pompy/St Malo over nighter, with Newcastle Dave, Big Gilbert and Dead Rum. Staying on Houx. The old van's 10th trip to the Holy Land. Looking forward to seeing y'all again.  Cheesy

Hey buddy, given up the biking idea then...

RV passed the MOT.

Oil and 1 light bulb.

Ready to tow the "fridge " with beer.

Hey Max, good news, can you give Neil some lessons in how to get organised please, words with no more than five letters though.

See you soon

Great news Tom, see you in June.

Just had a friend over here given the all-clear for the second time, but also recently lost a couple of friends Sad

Take care

camper now moves back and forwards - well at 20ft up and down the drive - so gears sorted

So booked the ferry today

Just got to get Insurance, Road Tax, Mot, Breakdown cover and test the camper (at least 200ft)

So everything crossed - we (Evil Sam & me) will be there this year

Don't forget your bike locks Sad

I think I'm cycling down from St Malo this year along the canals and rivers. If I get a speeding fine I will be stoked! police Evil

Bonkers, I suppose you could always have one of those little tag-along kiddy carriers for your kit...

As Guernsey does not come under the DVLA I think I am ok. In saying that I have been a very good boy over the last few years and tend to keep to the speed limit. Had my days of hooning around at 140 etc.

Are they different size wheels & tyres or is it an illusion?

Your car is wicked Si you are going to have a blast in that, quite envious, though I think you are just trying to outdo my boat Smiley
Nothing wrong with being a left handed mongrel, I am a right handed thoroughbred, but you probably realised that Smiley

I is not dissing your boat bruv, someone told me you have sunk your retirement millions into a rather splendid Riva Aquarama Super Cheesy

Wheels and tyres are indeed different sizes, although both on 15" diameter.

My plan is the millions will not be touched, (who told you about them?) could not stand to break up all those gorgeous zero's, living on an Offshore Centre (no NOT a Tax Haven) one learns to appreciate using someone else's money or so the wife says when I use hers Smiley

However, I would really like to have a Riva, on the day when fishing is out of the question, as they are absolutely beeeeeutiful, something I have always admired.

With regard to the tyres, I grew up with square tyres on my Zundapp 49cc, so do not try telling me about tyres...

Looks like it will be a beauty LB.  The Cobra's are such iconic machines, including the replica's.  Images of Dan Gurney, and Dave McDonald power sliding them around Riverside immediately spring to mind.
Here's a nice shot of Dan at the '64 Targa, from the Klemantaski Collection.

Pretty certain to be making a Classic return next year after missing a few. I've been working on my 'Project Midlife Crisis' the last few months and aim to have it ready for LMC.
Hey buddy, what is going on? Are you at LM24 this year with Nuke Dave? We really should catch up better not just a fleeting five minutes, you have just got to be one of the best life story-tellers ever, so much happens Smiley My life is very simple, but I am retiring and I have bought a very small fishing/crabbing boat and have seriously got into veg growing... alright when writing it but possibly a little sad, though I will be able to do what I want, when I want, wife allowing but she does not realise I have put a new lock on my shed - on the inside:)

Not long now...

I should be the happy shepherd waiting for the flock (where the flock did that come from?) arriving early Monday evening if dry, if not will find a hotel for the night.

BUT, before then a whole life changing experience - I am very fortunate to be retiring, shock to you all I know, thought I was twenty years younger I know - all to do with my athleticism I know - never sat still, always on the go I know. So I fooled you all Smiley

Can't wait...

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Love and best wishes to all of  you and your families, I hope to see as many of you as possible in a field in France next year. You may bring gifts to me at my normal (new) residence in Houx, don't worry that you may miss me as I do not stray too far Smiley

Sincerely and with gratitude,
