Cycling back from mulsanne corner early saturday evening me and a couple of our crew stopped at the memorial to pay our respects and have a beer. A police car pulled up alongside us and the gendarme asked us what we were doing. When we told him he also paid his respects, said thankyou, wished us well and drove off, a nice touch i thought.

Thanks to Paddy and all the drinking for holland guys for the cold draught beer and hospitality on friday afternoon. Your site was very impressive.
Shame we missed the flying baguettes but too much beer was consumed at our site on bsj and we had no chance of getting back to see you .
Paddy and beerman, i hope Rhino's sloe gin didn't affect you too much .
We tried 4 bottles of his home made wine friday evening, this is why we never made it back to see you .

You are right piglet, it may be a bit crap but it just adds to the excitement of  knowing that it is just a few days away .

At work today we were listening to virgin radio. They are playing the autosport le mans advert every half hour. As soon as it comes on we start talking about next week, previous years etc. and don't get any work done.

This time next week .

With a bit of luck madame cholet will fire up the bbq and we can have some burgers made of "things that folk leave behind".
 Now i've got that bloody annoying theme tune running around my head .

Apparently they have built a rally stage through the woods with spectator points, i will definately take a look at that.

As for my wife not understanding Le Mans, she just understands that i go every year and then i spend the rest of the year talking about it .

Jim is right rhino, it was  a lace making exam (although he claims it was an electrical part p exam) and he did pass with flying colours.  
He has promised to make a lace tablecloth for us this year. Should look lovely until dave spills something unmentionable on it or sets fire to it
