well the plan changed to ;

Spa 2021  Sad
Le mans 2022   Roll Eyes
Sebring 2023   Huh
Bathurst 2024   Shocked

even Aldershot was a wash out, & they think we need Extreme E .............

17  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: UK Lockdown III on: February 03, 2021, 09:11:40 pm
Its all a bit 'up in the air' for everything & every one (unless your of student age of course ........).

I'm waiting to hear if my rolled over, rolled over again Spa WEC trip has any chance of happening, & am contemplating a Goodwood revival ticket purchase with its refund option if scrubbed ,to give myself something to look forward to,(having recently moved to Chichester!!)

I do hope the Sunday breakfast club reopens soon  Grin
18  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Aston Martin Racing leaving GTE PRO on: December 23, 2020, 02:33:33 pm
I never like the saying but 'No surprise!!'! He may be very good in business, just doesn't understand motor racing / fans .

*Daddy stroll doesn't understand most Aston buyers would prefer a link to an LMP/gte car than a branded car getting a 10th place finish in F1. At least his son wont have any fear of losing his F1 seat and the likes of Hulkenberg cant get a drive !! *

" rant alert!"

Since the early 90's Ive been a sportscar fan & was excited to see Aston return to sportscar racing in 2005, a fan through good times & bad, with the odd baseball cap /polo shirt bought to show my support .
Whist I could understand / tolerate their short term presence in current F1 (IPO etc) I never felt any interest / passion for their involvement ,especially with their association with the Thailand energy drink.
Stroll's money was needed but to wrap Aston future around Formula one is a mistake ,as it was said above , its buyers are clever people & must be cringing at its projected new future

21  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Le Mans 24hr 2020 - No Spectators on: August 12, 2020, 03:52:15 pm
well the plan WAS ;

SPA 2020
SEBRING 2021
BATHURST 2022

Having had the misses sign off the schedule , the plan has a few cracks in it at mo..........
having the appetite for far travel & the confidence of getting your money back if it goes 'pete tong ' has rather opened up them cracks

it can't only be Aldershot stock cars as the alternative surely .

where is Greta when we have what she wanted (sorry political point  Cry )
22  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Roll call - September at Camp Carnage on BN on: August 08, 2020, 08:17:18 pm
we alas have come to the same conclusion regards 'villages'

whist having our Spa WEC trip postponed & then made 'behind closed doors' was hoping to wing it & go to the rescheduled Le mans.

whist plans were at a advanced to get it sorted ,& while i too understand the ACO predicament , the micro villages idea with no mingling with fellow fans & track views , made us kick the idea into touch.

I hope it is going to be enjoyable for those giving it a gamble, but for us , next year is the hope
