16  Club Arnage / 2023 / 1 x Epinettes Camping and 2 x full week GA tickets for sale on: May 20, 2023, 03:33:18 pm
Due to circumstances a couple of our mob are no longer able to go to this year's race, so I have 1 x  Epinettes camping and 2 x full week GA tickets available at face value, €105 or £91 for the Epinettes ticket and €61 or £53 each for the GA tickets

Would prefer not to split but open to the idea. They are pdf tickets so I can email them or print them and post on payment. Please PM me if interested

Luckily got camping and GA tickets for all our lot - except for one who made a late call and missed out - we can sort him for camping, but just need one GA ticket for the week please if anyone has one to spare. Thanks,

Thanks Mark, see you in the week?

Indeed, I hope so - we're on Epinettes if you happen to be passing, and in any event will come over to BN to say hi to all over there.

Anticipate that they're still hedging their bets with a date change but holding off announcing on tickets until end April.

So the motorbike 24 hours is now announced as running behind closed doors.....and the 24 hr tickets are showing as "to be informed" on their website.  Well, the ACO have informed us that they won't be deciding on ticketing until April.

I'd hazard a guess that their choice might simply be about whether to run behind closed doors or not rather than to postpone.  Last year everywhere was shut down and they didn't have a calendar or plans to speak of, so were able to come up with the virtual running of it in June and to postpone the actual running behind closed doors to September.

This year though who knows, it could change either way quickly either there or here or both, so we're just taking it as it comes and working out a Plan B for something in UK this summer should going to France fail again.

Austin Texas off it too. Statement from CEO of the WEC

“We listened to our manufacturers, teams and partners and responded with a calendar featuring fewer events than in the past to allow them all time to deal with the current economic crisis." said Gerard Neveu, CEO of the WEC. "We will revise this upwards again in the future, as and when the health situation and the economy allows us to do so, hopefully from 2022 onwards.

"The calendar also takes into account our logistical road map as it provides our teams with the most cost-effective package possible.”

I'd hope from that it'll be back on the Silverstone calendar in 2022.

Mixed bag of weather then. Off to High Force near Barnard Castle today. Plenty of walking to simulate trudging around the track. RLM plus spotters guide should fit well with peace of the countryside..... Continue with that this evening supplemented by beers and red wine.

Thanks, thats really handy as all the usual clues when there are missing!

Strange not to see the weather guesses for the weekend.another part of the weirdness I suppose.flip flops or wellies’?

More likely Bedroom Slippers and dressing gown Smiley this year.
I am not even sure what coverage i will be able to get in Canada.

Phil

Phil,

ACO website says TV coverage on Velocity and Discovery for Canada.

Web streaming will doubtless happen on various media, e.g. YouTube

All the best,

Mark

'Tis indeed an odd year without all the build up and the things we mark the event by. Certainly feels bloody weird being on holiday with the missus in our caravan, rather than catching up with friends at Le Mans and drinking in the atmosphere. And the beer. And the wine......

Paused it on Youtube and watched the rest this morning. Rain held off to the very end and then got very wet.

Watched the rest on youtube too this morning. Great race to watch, with a good variety of cars. Still 7 cars on the lead lap at the end. Bentley win. Just need England to beat France in the rugby this afternoon to round off the weekend.
