Loving it. Clear, stable stream. TV on, tablet with the live timing and sufficient red wine to augment the enjoyment  Grin

Fantastically clear picture... and whatisname in the commentary box - whats not to like?

Absolutely nothing!  It's John Hindhaugh......

Nice to see some different front runners from the WEC usual suspects. Merc, McLaren 720 and Nissan GTR leading the field. Now McLaren leading as I type. Bloody brilliant. It's like BTCC in the dark....

Thanks for the info, all v. useful and encouraging. Primitive camping us fine - I can remember Houx in the days of a pig trough with taps and two long drops. Proximity to bars and the access to pretty much everything with a  GA ticket sounds ideal.

Hi Folks,

My lad is treating me to a trip to the WEC round at Spa next year, as he can't make it to Le Mans. Never been to the circuit before, always wanted to.

Grateful for any tips on watching the race there, the extent of where you can go with a GA ticket, and particularly camping at or near the circuit.

Thanks

Good cause for celebration and recognition, and still a great place. T-shirt and Lanyard please.

The usual crowd from the Tuesday onwards, minus one or two who can't make it, on Epinettes.

Unfortunately due to a medical issue the chances of me attending 2020 are less than 50%.
So no plans at all at this stage.
It will be the first race I have missed since I started going in 2002.
Hopefully I will have recovered sufficiently to witness the Hypercars in 2021.

Whatever it is, good luck with it. We could always arrange some field surgery on BN if that would help......

Link to the survey below. Show 24, 6 and 12 hours in that order as the top ranked durations. 4 hours was preferred by only about 5%.

What Barry said.

Anyone know any good reason why it has been reduced to 4 hours?

I find it difficult to believe that it's been changed solely because of "fan feedback", which seems to be what is being touted on the WEC website, viz: "The 2019-2020 FIA World Endurance Championship calendar announced today heralds the return of two popular venues, São Paulo and Bahrain, and also introduces a revision to the duration of its different races in line with fan feedback gathered in the 2017 WEC Fan Survey"
42  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Toyota and Porsche Disqualified on: August 20, 2018, 08:48:21 am
So, presumably from post-racec scrutineering, both Toyota's have been  disqualified for having skid blocks that were too flexible, and the second placed 911 in GTE Pro for being too low.
