yes, hgb and nordic, got it right now. This was actually the last year of the old high-speed dunlop-curve, one year later a chicane was added. At the start of this 1986 race, we saw 4 Porsche 962 side by side trying to squeeze through this high speed curve, it was mind-boggling

As I was the one who started this thread, here's the final result: I gave 4 camping-passes back to the ACO-office at the track and they managed to sell 3 of them

Wow, hgb, good job! Just the last one is not correct, it was not the Ford Chicanes. Another guess?

we usually watch the start at the dunlop-chicane right after the start-finsih-straight and go there about 1 to 1:30 hours prior to the start. No problem to find a good viewing spot there

1764  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Tickets all arrived from ACO? on: June 05, 2003, 03:18:47 am
Andy, don't worry. If your tickets don't arrive in time, just take your booking receipt and your payment details with you, go to the office at the racetrack and claim replacement tickets, one of my mates did it 2 years ago and it was no problem.
1765  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:10 day weather forecast on: June 04, 2003, 12:15:32 pm
I think the only accurate forecast that can be made is:
1. There is a race
2. We will be drunk

Cheers

Hi there,
I will arrive Thursday afternoon having 2 spare Beausejout-Tickets, time now is too short to sell them via the forum. I remember that someone wrote about the possibility of returning spare tickets to the ACO-office at the track so they will try to resell them. Is that true and where exactly is that office?

Cheers

1770  Club Arnage / Just To Say Hi / Re:The Boys with the Goodyear Blimp on: May 31, 2003, 05:21:54 am
Hi,
Karting Nord has great atmosphere (as have all the other places...). The big bonus there is that you can watch the race right from the campsite. Just watch out where to pitch up your tent when the weather-forecast predicts rain. In 2001, when it rained a lot (!!!), the slightly lower parts of Karting Nord were flooded and the water was 10-15 cm high in those areas (Not nice if you're in a tent)

Cheers and have fun
