I had a phone call with Team Langoustine last night: The ACO has informed them that Blue Nord will not be available for camping next year. They will use it for parking. Maison Blanche has already been closed 2 years ago, now Blue Nord will not be availbale, I really wonder what the options for private campers will be.
Did they give your any alternatives to BN Werner? TL hopes for an allocation on the Hippodrome for us. - where is that ? |

Booked my outward this morning. I'll be headed over aboard the Pont Aven from Plymouth to Roscoff on Tuesday May 30.
Did this route a few weeks back, nice crossing, just a long way down to Plymouth for me. Ferry was good, bar did close at about midnight - but 1st time I have seem armed police and French Army on board - whole trip. And when getting in to France only 30 mins, to get through passport control. Also ate before got on board as limited food on board (when I went) |

Got stopped once - drinking from a can, the others in our group walked in, they were drinking from Le Mans beakers, and I got stopped - told could not take it in, so had to down in very quickly to walk in.
Kept them very happy.
Walked in - 10ft (3m for the French) and open my other can that was in my pocket. - Oh well
Did anyone else notice, all the ACO beer on site was Carlsberg 3.6% - last time was Kronenbourg 4.2% (I think) - Price was the same as last time, from memory

It was great to be back in Houx with DFH, Ewan, Steve and the rest of the gang. The newbies seemed to enjoy themselves. Great to spend time with everyone and plenty of great moments.
See you all in 2023 for the anniversary madness.

We're out Pompey - Caen overnight Weds and back Monday PM, in a green Evora. Camping in Houx with the DfH crew, nopanic, Steve Pyro, kev & gang.
For those that have done it so far, what's the sitrep at Portsmouth getting onboard and at Calais arriving?

Maybe a little early but what the hell..............
43 days to go until the start of race, so seemed about the right time to start this years thread.
Out Dover - Calais Friday 10th June 6:10am Irish Ferries
Returning to Houx with Nopanic, DFH, Jules and Steve others as per usual.
Back Calais to Dover Monday 13th June 14:50 Irish Ferries
In the wife's Leon Estate as a mates decided to come and can't fit us all in with gear in my car.

HELP
Pricing up for a minibus to France,
being quoted at between £999 and £1200 for week hire - CRAZY cost. (with 2 x old git drivers)
Anyone have experiance or advice, as looking for a good 6/7 seater (with luggage space)

Well Sam & me have made the painful decision - not to go this year  - only my 3rd miss after 21+years with all the restrictions and limitations on where you can potentially go and which area's are open - we don't blame ACO and can understand their problems. On top of it all, the boss is very high risk. So busy changing ferry crossing for next year - as 2021 ferry bookings our open and I see ACO have already done the dates for next year - 12-13th June 2021 So...... Stay safe all - and all that go to this year’s Le Mans - have a great and safe time - we will raise a glass or 12 to everyone on that weekend Also gives me time to make some money, which I have not earned this year |
