Thanks

Hi Richard

Thanks for the kind offer but I don't need entry tickets and to be honest we spend most of our time trackside.  I'd be happy to take the camping ticket off you for £80 though if that's of interest?

Thanks again

I can take on:

•   Chapter „Le Mans (not just) for Dummies – A brief history“ at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:lm-introduction: Could someone please add a paragraph (approx.. half page) about the epic 2011 race and update the winner list? And may be shorten the description of the 2010 race?

•   Chapter “Le Mans related web sites and forums” at http://www.clubarnage.com/wiki/doku.php?id=ca_guide:www-links needs a check if the links are still valid

I'd be happier to edit in Word if you can send me copies?

Thanks

Hi All

Having missed the annual lottery that is the ACO ticket ballot I am on the hunt for a camping ticket.  Ideally looking for something in any of Bleu Nord, Houx, Maison Blanche, Mulsanne or Arnage.

Thanks

At the heart of it all is great racing and that is what keeps me and the core of our group coming back.  I think the future for us may be alternate years LM and LM Classic.

Wow, that's a lot of familiar names bailing this year.  I've sensed a general lack of apathy over the past few years as it slowly dawns on a lot of us that the LM we once knew and loved has changed forever - the relaxed locals (esp. the gendarmes), the chavs, the quality of the racing, the costs/economic climate, the theiving, Mad Friday (now more like 'dickheads Friday'), the prawn sandwich brigade etc.  I guess it was about 05/06/07 that the rot started to set in.

Looks like we'd be better off starting a thread of who actually is going!

I'll be there, but what was once a party of 7 is now just 3, and for 3 days not 5/6.  I could see this being the last one for a while and I think that once you stop there is possibly no going back.

I know how you feel...actually, that's a lie.  10th year on the bounce this year and can't wait to get on the road on Wednesday.

Can't you feign getting lost in Ikea (entirely plausible) and this explains why you ended up in a shopping trolley in LM?

Lets be fair, the Michelin guide is the dog poo embedded in the well heeled shoe that is the CA guide.  It seems like they have lifted the Wikipedia content for 'Le Mans' and added some photos taken on their mates (rubbish) camera phone.  To top it off they then spend many pages with blurb from their own Michelin website telling me how long it takes to make tyre.

CA I salute you, Michelin, I fart in your general direction

I haven't opened it yet but know it will be superb.  Worth reminding those new to the subject that this is a labour of love and has taken many hundreds of man hours to compile over the years.  The detail, quality of writing and information is second to none.

As such, please, where possible do the right thing and make a donation.  Good karma is at stake here chaps and chapesses.

Cheers one and all

Presumably with about 6 weeks left it's looking like they won't be there then.

I don't have an issue with RLM and the giant screens but for those that wanted to be bang up to date with all the timing/positions/action through the whole 24 hours it really added something.

Oh well, I guess money talks and for whatever reason they either weren't making enough and/or the suits who now run LM were asking too much from them to be on site.

Morning all

6 weeks and counting and if the weather in the good ol' U of K is anything to go by we could be in for the first scorcher for a few years.

Does anyone know if Kanagroo TV will be offering their services and if yes how you go about booking it.  I've scoured their site and the LM.org site and can't see a booking form anywhere.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Peejay

I'm interested in all 3 tickets, are they still available?  Do you have them in hand yet or are you still awaiting delivery?

Thanks

Morning all and a Happy New Year

I'm thinking of setting up shop down at the corners this year.  I'm interested in Arnage but can't think where the campsite is and where the entrance to it is.  When going to watch at Arnage I usually pop into the car park that is on the right hand side of the one way system and then cross the road into the track.

I have a feeling it may be behind the food and beer tents on the trackside, is this right?  If so, how do you get your car in and out???

Cheers chaps
