Sadly, I think that the guide has had it's day. A pioneering document for sure, but one that has become obsolete with the march of technology.
This year we took the 30 year old son of a recently departed team member. It was his first visit and we were amazed at the level of information his Dad seemed to have imparted before his untimely death. Over the week it transpired that he had equipped himself with a number of free apps, and whilst there, had downloaded several more, which his phone was translating into English! In many ways he was better informed than we were.
Printable information of the runners and riders was useful, but let's face it the official programme was 5 euros, hardly going to break the bank, and this year carried comprehensive information on events, getting around, shuttle buses etc. I know that the money goes to a publisher, but realistically how many people downloaded the guide and made no donation.
I think a planning guidance and advice section on the forum where the combined years of knowledge and experience is available to inform people's decision making is the way to go.
Werner you have done an amazing job over the years and I am sure that your original concept has been the inspiration for many of the apps now available, sadly though I think it is time to put the mouse and keyboard away and take a well deserved rest!

Quest are showing the start live, and then live update programmes across the 24 hours. Not full race coverage but better than we are used to in the UK.
German Eurosport broadcast the whole race live, if you have any way of receiving that.

I'm sorry for your loss.
I lost my best friend of 30 years to cancer this summer, and I too am facing a sad return to Le Sarthe next June.
Together we maintained a twenty year presence at the great race, and I will return next year with a heavy heart to honour his memory and love for the place.
I for one will be thinking of you in 2016.

Due to last minute work commitments, we have a spare Mulsanne camping pass.

Cost 27 quid, should be able to email the ticket as a PDF.

Is there anyone out there who is an ACO member who would be prepared to order 2 Mulsanne camping passes for us?
Not interested in the discount, we would pay face value, we just want to make sure we get the passes. We would cover all postage costs, and would happily send the money for the passes in advance so that no-one is out of pocket.

The campsite guide looks like it could do with a bit of an update.

The Murvi Crew have relocated from Bleu Nord to Mulsanne this year, so I will take care of that one!

Some up to date piccies and comments on the various sites would be appreciated. If you don't have time/can't be ar##d to update the wiki, send me the info and I will do it.
